Booked a family Room for 3 adults, whilst we attended gig at the O2 Arena, great close location near DLR station. Easy trip by Taxi. After an issue with the room caused by faulty thermostat, the staff on duty Delroy and Norman were incredibly professional and helpful. They made our stay as comfortable as possible. I want to thank them personally for that. Lovely comfortable, clean room. Great Breakfast with so much variety, fruit, cereal, yoghurts, croissants, sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, baked beans, toast, tea, coffee, fruit juices, what more could you ask for? Fantastic, will stay again when going to the O2. Thank you for a great stay

We had a room for 3 adults on Sunday 17th of October. Every member of staff we dealt with were professional, friendly and helpful. We had a really enjoyable stay. It is a short walk from the DLR station and Uber taxis are reasonable to reach the O2. The room was very clean. We had an issue twice with the temperature control panel in our room and had to ask staff to visit the room. Delroy and Norman visited the room, first bringing 3 fans, secondly moving two of us to another room (I was asleep by this time so stayed put). Nothing was too much trouble for them. Breakfast was delicious, plenty of choice for everyone. I would recommend this hotel and would stay again without hesitation.
Was ok. Would go back.

A stone's throw from the station, quiet area. Shop/store nearby. The hotel is a little run down but it's ok. Room was clean tidy and quiet. Bed was super comfortable. Breakfast as you expect, but I wouldn't cooking the vegi sausages untill they were needed, as they were inedible, I wouldn't mind waiting.Staff friendly enough, overall an ok stay.
This place has gone down hill over the last 2 years

Having previously used this hotel I was very disappointed.
Firstly the welcoming at reception was not the usual standard from an IHG Hotel and myself being a Gold member.
I had requested an early check in , normal check in on my booking states 2pm. I arrived at 130pm to be informed my allocated foom was not ready. After querying the same at 210pm I was finally provided with a different room. I had an appointment at 3pm at a London hospital and because of their incompetence I was late for this.
Whilst waiting at the reception area there are signs stating how Holiday inn are cleaning their hotels to prevent the spread of covid. The white area immediately under the reception desk, around the holiday inn was absolutely disgusting with black Marks, not that it bothered me but made a mockery of the adjacent signage.
As a disabled blue badge holder trying in a car park that is apparently managed by Parking Eye I found multiple white ford transits parked in clearly marked disabled bays despite other parking spaces being available. Upon mentioning this to the female eastern European check in desk employee I was given the excuse that the van owners had paid for parking and they where busy. I mentioned about parking eye managing their car park so if she was incapable of asking them to move their vans could she not contact the parking company that manages the site. I got totally ignored with this request and another mundane excuse came out of her mouth despite me citing the Equality Act and how as a business they are supposed to make reasonable adjustments for disabled customers. Instead I was forced to park at the rear of the property and struggle with my walking impediment.
This hotel has started to employ a security guard in the entrance whom everytime I walked past was sat on his phone doing very little whilst on three separate occasions a man outside in the car park of african descent and seemingly having mental health issues tapped customers up for cigarettes or took fag ends out of the ash trays whilst repeatedly shouting drivel. All of this conveniently ignored by security and making the hotel seemingly feeling somewhat unsafe .
The breakfast situation had changed from previous visits. Cooked breakfast is put on the plate for you. Bacon that breaks your teeth, sausage that is cold, cold baked beans and mushy scrambled egg. Having used fresh milk out of the machine for my cup of tea instead of the UHT milk that's provided I was looked at in disdain by a member of staff. How dare I.
upon checkout the Male member of staff in a world of his own ignored me, so I just dumped the room keys and left. no acknowledgement from staff, nothing such as 'was everything alright, did you enjoy your stay etc'.
I remember a receptionist check in staff member from 2019 of eastern European descent that was absolutely marvellous with customers and remembered me even addressing by my first name . Many of the current staff seem disinterested and lack common sense and customer service skills.
The whole place has gone down hill.
oh and please get rid of those LG TV's that are so ancient that you cannot use your mobile phone to stream content on them. We are in 2021 not 2004.

Stayed for 4 nights with husband and 2 children. Very clean room and hotel, friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was really nice and plenty of choice, although a bit hectic at certain times. A few minutes walk to Dockland Light Railway which links to Bank underground station where you can get to most other places. Trains are very regular from there. Only criticism was that the fire alarm went off at 11pm, although staff dealt with this quickly there was a lady next to us who was a wheelchair user and she was left to fend for herself on the landing. Probably a training issue for the staff on duty that night. Overall though a great stay and good value for money.
