My go-to hotel for when I visit NYC

Reviewed 20 march, 2023

My go-to hotel for when I visit NYC. The rooms and front desk service are always excellent. So is housekeeping. I love everything about this place - location, views, staff. I will keep coming back.

Will definitely revisit

My husband and I came with our teenagers for a four night stay. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. It’s a cool, chilled atmosphere, has a breakfast restaurant available if you don’t fancy going locally to get food. The staff are very friendly and helpful, I travel with my tea bags and they were happy to supply the hot water, cups and milk for me to have my tea fix at any time. It is a short easy commute to Times Square and you get a much bigger room than if you stay central for the same money. A shout out to Stephanie and other cafe staff for my tea assistance 😊! Lovely clean rooms, tasteful decor and contemporary looking.

Great Boutique Hotel!

Great bed! Friendly overnight staff for a late arrival! Nice vibe - looking forward to staying again soon! Pizza is great and was nice to be able to order out from our daughter’s apartment around the corner as well!

The Boro Hot er l is a fabulous hotel.

The hotel and its Bar/Restaurant, Beebe's, are amazing. The neighborhood is a bit iffy, and is dimly lit at night. That said, the location is amazingly convenient. The elevated train is 4 relativy short blocks away. Do not bring a car. You will find parking nearly impossible. Use public transportation to get around. The hotel itself: industrial chic that was well designed and executed. It has a small, yet perfectly functional lobby. The elevators are fabulous. The gym is small and hidden, but not bad for such a small boutique hotel. The lady at the front desk was charming, if a bit new to the hospitality industry. The servers and bar tenders in Beene's were great. The waitress allowed herself to be distracted by other customers to the inconvenience of me. The wait time to get my check was unnecessarily prolonged and then the wait to pay it was the same. The room: 1106. This was a very "petite" room, though it ultimately was fine. The floor to ceiling windows were awesome, and the view spectacular. The small balcony was great, and had it not been so cold (late January), I would have used it. The bed was super comfortable, and the sherts/duvet luxurious. The laptop sized safe was a bonus, though it sat on a ledge totally unattached, so, in theory at least, someone could walk off with it. The clothes storage area was limited. The three hangars were insufficient for my 8 day stay, and housekeeping was not proactive in noticing that issue. The room had no drawer space at all. The bedroom had the bed, wall mounted tv, a desk n chair, and petite nightstand. That's it. The bathroom was fabulous. It was huge in comparison to the size of the bedroom. The fixtures and design of the bathroom were very well designed and executed. I could have used a small fridge and microwave in the room, though there was absolutely no room for those items. The thermostat worked great. Overall, this is a great hot err l, and I highly recommend it. Just be aware that 1106 is quite "petite."
