More about the hotel
Room foul smell
Stayed there on the 24.02.20121 In a superior room 4th floor. Was expecting a very nice experience, after putting my work gear away and unpacking for the evening and even ordering my food I went in to the shower / toilet room and was hit by a very strong smell of cigarettes, I called to complain and was offered a replacement room ... well I’ve ordered food etc ... I was hopefully thinking the steam from the shower would stop the smell !! I kept the room it still smells and I can’t understand why housekeeping still allowed the room to be used. I was offered recompense hence my rant now.
Excellent Hotel - Great team - Great Food
Good clean hotel, excellent food. Very polite and professional team!! Would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the local area. I guess with COVID times we are seeing a limited Vegetarian/Vegan menu. That said the food was brilliant.
Just Excellent
Absolutely excellent throughout. Stayed during lockdown for work. The whole hotel is fantastic. A warm welcome at reception. The room I booked had a free minibar included which was restocked daily. The best lockdown breakfast I have had anywhere and as I spend every week in a different hotel that’s a lot of lockdown breakfasts this beats. This is how to do a hotel.
Rude ignorant reception
Arrived after a very long drive to a torrent of questions at reception, very rude and presumptuous, so walked straight back out and went to holiday inn next door. We all know the travel restriction rules; does the pompous guy on reception really think I’d leave the comfort of my home with TV, PC and a full fridge to drive several hundred miles down a dark motorway in the pouring rain to stay in a hotel miles from anywhere with no facilities if it wasn’t essential?! Won’t be bothering with Radisson again, a poor attitude in tough times.
Great Hotel
From the moment we arrived at Radisson we could tell that it would be a nice stress free stay. Carparking was ample and simple at £5 per night. Check-in was very quick and the member of staff on reception was informative and pleasant. We stayed in a superior runway view room on the 4th floor (401) which we were thoroughly pleased with, it was spacious, modern and spotless! What made the room really special was the expresso machine, mini bar, huge comfortable bed and the very thoughtful birthday surprise left by Anna in housekeeping, the bottle of bubbly and chocolate were very much appreciated and enjoyed! With runway views we spent a lot of time relaxing by the window with a drink watching the planes come and go and we enjoyed the speaker in the bathroom so you can relax in the large bath whilst listening to your favourite channels. A true moment of escapism was enjoyed and we can't wait to return in the near future and maybe even try out the pool.
