A comfortable place to stay

I stayed here for 10 days from November 20 to November 30. This site is the usual U- shaped motel, two levels. My room was quiet and the bed was very comfortable. There were occasional sounds from people coming and going outside my window and once I heard a muffled television one evening for a few minutes. The parking is free and the Wi-Fi is good! The water pressure in the shower was very good. The water was very hot. There is a air conditioner in the room. As others have noted, it is in awkward position and loud, but it got the job done. Since I stayed here in the winter it would be slightly chilly in the mornings and I would use the heating function to heat up the room a bit while I was getting ready which was very quick. The location was close to Starbucks, multiple fast food restaurants, and easy access to the freeways and local attractions. It’s kitty corner from a Target which also has a pharmacy and grocery department. There is a laundromat next door. They have a wash and fold service if you don’t have time to do your own laundry. I found it quick to do my one load wash and dry. There are some homeless people doing their thing in the area. They never caused me any problems and I did not interact with them. Unfortunately the on-site restaurant was closed down. After seeing pictures of their menu offerings I was looking forward to eating there. Hopefully they will open up again. The only drawback I found was that there is no in-room safe. I found that to be very annoying as I had to take my passports and electronic devices with me every day. I think the owners should consider adding safes to the rooms. I would stay here again.

This hotel is easy to get to. It is central to a shopping area and there are places to eat. It has private parking and it is pretty safe. Be aware there may be homeless next door at the 7/11, but they don't seem to bother anyone.

Stayed here for 4 nights in August.. In a nutshell Clean but outdated room - noisy AC in a bizarre location - good dining options nearby - good WiFi in room I would usually say I will try other options next time but the rate is unbeatable for the Hollywood area
The booking service and Dunne Hotel charged me $167 for a room I never even checked into.

I tried to tell them that the room was booked in mistake online. They charged me the full room price as a penalty. Horrible business practices and I’m calling my credit card company to report fraud. There are plenty of other hotels friends. Stay away from this place.

I recently visited LA from 8/13-8/20/21 and stayed at the Dunes Inn Sunset. I can honestly say that this motel exceeded my expectations. The room was exceptionally clean, the hot water was great and the A/C was terrific. This property is well kept and a maintained and centrally located in Hollywood walking distance to many attractions and restaurants. I would recommend Dunes Inn Sunset and will be returning.
