Book this hotel

This hotel is on the Sepulveda Blvd Strip in the San Fernando Valley. Having stayed at most of the hotels/motels on the boulevard, the HOMETOWN INN (9401 Sepulveda Blvd) Employs a dedicated front office staff committed to caring for their guests and accommodating special needs at any hour of the day. The hotel itself is well maintained and for the daily rate of $100.00 seven days a week, there are no surprises. Forget a coffee cup or need a plastic fork or spoon? Just ask the desk clerk. They cheerfully provided what no other establishment would ever consider. HOMETOWN INN of North Hills wins my 5 ūüíé award. Secured parking, well lighted common areas, wifi that works all over the property, cable tv and A/C. 7-Eleven at donut shop some fast food restaurants in the laundry mat or steps from the front door.

Terrible!

The health dept. should shut this motel down! Not worth $100 a night, let alone $50 a night! Rooms have roaches, water leaks, mold/mildew, and dirt/grime! Drugs and prostitution! Shady staff. I am not even sure how this place stays open! It should be shut down.

Clean room

Reviewed 29 july, 2018

The room was clean. Bed and pillows comfortable. Newer floors. Bathroom needs reno. WiFi works best by the pool. Free continental breakfast was coffee and doughnuts. Cable a little fuzzy. Parking not great. Looks like they are trying to renovate.

Not bad for what it was

I booked a non smoking room but it smelt like stale cigarettes inside which makes me sick to my stomach. Once the air conditioning was on for awhile it was tolerable. I stayed for two nights while going to Universal studios. The parking lot situation was really weird, if the car next to me had not left i'm not sure i would have been able to get out of the parking spot I was in. Overall for what it cost it was not a bad experience. I could see my car from my room and they did gate the parking area at night.

Think twice before you book a stay here, please!

I stayed for four nights hoping to save a little money as I was just in town to visit friends and not be in a motel room. I booked a non-smoking room. The room smelled of smoke and mold. The room was not well kept: dirty floors, graffiti on the bathroom door and on the lamp, old gum on one of the lamps, the door was held together with tape that was painted over. The little mini fridge was in disrepair and probably needed to be replaced (again held together with tape). And the front door wouldn’t close well, had no chain lock or do not disturb sign. All of that I could’ve overlooked but should’ve taken as a warning. My second day there I had left $120 in cash in my bag. I discovered that money had disappeared. I did my due diligence and made sure I hadn’t dropped or misplaced the money. When I talked to the front desk (or maybe the manager/owner) he told me that he wouldn’t look into it because his staff had worked there for twenty years and weren’t criminals. I even gave them the benefit of the doubt and said maybe they picked it up mistaking it for a tip. Still, he refused to look into it. When I checked out at the end of my trip the front desk clerk was just sleeping in the chair. Incredibly terrible experience. So please, do your best to find a different spot if you can.
