This magnificent traditional building, dating from 1925, is perfectly located in the centre of Gran Vía, in the heart of Madrid. The property is 15.5 kilometres from Madrid airport, is very close to numerous sites of tourist and cultural interest, including the Royal Palace, which is around a 15 minute walk away, where travellers can explore the official residence of the Spanish Royal Family in the city of Madrid, although the Palace is now only used for state ceremonies. The establishment is great place for guests wishing to discover Madrid, as it is close to countless shops, restaurants and ...More details

Great location !

Hotel is located bang on Gran Via and is at a walkable distance to sights such as the Palace. Staff is friendly and professional. There wasn't a kettle in the room but they provided one on request. Great wifi. The triple sharing room was smallish but the beds were pretty comfortable.

Could get the only thing i expected, sleep. Horrible experience. Cant understand you have rooms in front of the elevators. I dont remember staying at a hotel with rooms in front of the elevator. Dont recomend it.
Scam: asked for refund or to reschedule back in March and until today, no answer

I paid a reservation that was scheduled for March. Because Madrid restrictions due to covid, the hotel was contacted to apply a refund or to reschedule. The hotel never answered, until now, even though the contacts were many. This is shameful and goes directly against UE consumer laws. Since March and until today I'm waiting for an answer.
great location, good breakfast and comfortable

Stayed for two nights in March (just before Madrid locked down due to coronavirus). Booked a superior room which was spacious with a large comfortable bed and a view over the gran via. It has a modern design which may suit some people with the good sized shower and toilet separate off the bedroom; but the wash hadn basin was integral to the room with an annoying sliding cover that was very impractical. Clearly a very modern design but for me not as useful as having a traditional bathroom with the shower and toilet within. There was a small safe and tea and coffee making facilities in the room along with slippers and robes. The reception staff were pleasant and efficient, the breakfast team very helpful and the food was very good. A buffet style so able to help yourself to as much as you wanted. The location on the Gran Via is ideal (although the Gran Via metro station is being refurbished so out of commission; worth noting if you are taking the metro from the airport). The Plaza Major is about a 10-15 minute walk away and the Park Del Retiro about 20 minutes. There are plenty of places to eat nearby and it feels a very safe area. The only real negative was that the building next door is undergoing a major rebuild so from 08.00 and throughout the day there was a constant noise of drilling and as our room adjoined the next building the noise was quite loud. Had we been staying for more than two nights I would have requested to move rooms. This is of course a temporary issue and I am sure when the next door building is finished then there wont be a problem. I would recommend this hotel for its location and the breakfast. Sleep quality was Ok and all the staff we met were pleasant and most (not all) had a good command of English

Excellent location, located steps from Gran Via subway station (which is closed for construction) as well as near Sol subway station. Everything is an easy walk from the hotel, though I get the feeling the hotel is near the top of the hill as every way we came back we seemed to be going uphill. Despite the early hour (around 9am), we were fortunate to be able to check directly into the room. The check-in staff is excellent, though I get the feeling our clerk was new due to the never-ending questions she had for her co-worker. But, better that than wasting time by trying to figure it out yourself. The rooms were smaller than I was expecting but still a good size. For whatever reason, the room had been set to 40C. Power outlets available on both sides of the bed. The bath is long though note that the bathroom door blocks access to the shower so you can't have both open. Full-sized bottles are in the shower and by the sink. Squeeze gently as if the bottle is full, it comes out quite quick. If they need a refill, just call the front desk. There is a vending machine area on the mezzanine floor. A few for food/drinks and one for random bits and bobs that you may need (phone chargers, etc). We were able to walk easily to everything (Prado, El Retiro, Royal Palace, etc) and lots of food and shopping options nearby. If we got tired mid-day, also very easy to return to the room midday to catch a nap before going out again. Would definitely stay here again.
