Property disappoints but the view/location doesn’t

Context — I am an elite member of the Bonvoy program and have been a loyal Marriott following for decades. The property, quite simply, is tired. Petty, perhaps, but indicative — No lights or fans on the balcony make it unbearably hot during the day to sit and too dark to read at night. C’mon, common sense. The staff are generally non-descript and just do their jobs. Perhaps COVID has worn them out but they could at least try to be enthusiastic. With the exception of Ian in the Stilts Restaurant, nobody stood out.
Just fine. Not great.

Just fine. Not great. Pros: the rooms are nice and spacious. The check in staff are friendly, as is the concierge. The communication via text messaging and response time are great. Cons: location is fine. Beach is ok. Not nearly as nice as the Marriott vacation club in Hilton Head. Resort won’t “wow” you, especially if you’ve been to a location like STJ or the like. Worst Part: I’m an owner of three timeshare/vacation ownerships. I understand how they work and what the sales presentations looks like. This was the pushiest and most disreputable I have EVER been a part of. Nick was rude, arrogant, and completely unprofessional. Would not think of buying from someone as disrespectful as him.
Great Seaside Resort

Great location overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. Units have a large balcony with table, chairs and loungers. Several outdoor pools in a nicely landscaped setting. Free underground parking. A couple of on-site restaurants are available. Staff is friendly and helpful.
Quick get away

Couples getaway…got to say the rooms are really nice. Loved the room and the bed. Challenging but hing is that there are no coffee or breakfast place here and only a small restaurant called stilts and a small takeout pizza place. Great restaurants across the street. Had a wonderful happy hour at DaVincis and Oyster society. Hard to find pool service but in our world today, not surprised. Timeshare was heavy heavy heavy pressure. We might have bought if they would have given us some time to think about it but had to make a decision in the hour! A lot of money for a quick decision. I got overwhelmed so we passed

I've come here since it opened and love staying here. Staff is super friendly and accommodations are top notch. Grandkids really love the water slide and the beach is a short walk. Stilts is onsight which provides dining opportunities as well as cold drinks.
