Visited this hotel with my family as a treat for my sister who turned 50 on Halloween. It was a well needed getaway which started off okay but could have been better. The hotel is huge with lots of lovely facilities such as a football pitch and a volleyball court which my family enjoyed using. They also have a sauna and gym which I’m sure some guests will love. The girls in our group went for a Turkish Bath followed by a massage which was to die for - we thoroughly enjoyed the treatments. The beach is not far from the actual hotel with lots of places to eat dotted around it including an ice cream stand. It was the end of the season but they had entertainment on almost every evening which was lovely. What I disliked about the hotel is the fact that they had no iron in the room but they provide a laundry service. The problem with a laundry service is that you might want to to wear a last minute outfit that may need ironing so having no iron in the room was a massive inconvenience. The next issue I had with the hotel is that they don’t seem to have enough staff and the ones they had were very unhelpful. However, I do want to take this opportunity to send out a massive thank you to one female staff member who went above and beyond to help me and my family - she was the only one who showed any interest in wanting to help guests at lunch and dinner, getting us drinks and utensils before we even asked her. I believe her name is ‘Bethul’ - she’s a credit to the hotel. The biggest disappointment was our experience at the Ala Grill Restaurant- my niece made reservation for the entire family to eat at the restaurant which is a perk of the hotel. Granted we were 15 minutes late for a 8pm reservation - the treatment that was handed out to us was absolutely disgusting. The staff at the restaurant treated us like absolute dirt which completely ruined our evening leaving my niece in tears. Every food we selected on their very limited menu was not available. There was nothing there for us to eat. Half of the family had to run to the main restaurant to try and find something to eat. The food that they did serve us was thrown towards us on the table as they made every effort to remind us that their kitchen closed at 9. Why make reservation for a family of 12 for 8pm if your kitchen closes at 9pm? The funny thing was, all the other guests in the restaurant at this time was being treated with respect and warmth. What was the difference with these guests do you ask? They were all white. The racism towards was blatant, I had was to ask for the manager as my family was very distressed by what was happening. The manager did apologise but her apology did nothing to ease the discrimination we faced. This experience really ruined what would have a brilliant family getaway.

Nice hotel but let down by the cold food and cats

Great hotel clean tidy but don’t go there if you don’t like cats, cats are everywhere even in the restaurant, food cold on most occasions, food is mostly the same everyday, food not ideal for children, no kids menu, don’t leave your table or it will cleared by the staff.

Our Fifth Stay at this Delightful Hotel....This Must Tell you Something!

Reviewed 4 november, 2021

We recently returned from a "Too good for words" end of the season holiday in Marmaris, Turkey staying at our favourite Grand Yazici Club Turban Thermal Hotel. As the title suggests, this is our 5ft consecutive stay here (we missed 2020 due to the pandemic, which naturally prohibited travel to Turkey). Admittedly, it was low season and due to the pandemic, some of the hotel's facilities were withdrawn or restricted. This did not detract from our enjoyment at all, as there's an abundance of things that kept us occupied. I should comment here that the entire hotel felt safe in regard to the pandemic, as it took steps to ensure the hotel's guests were safe and comfortable. All the staff in the hotel wore masks and there was sanitising gel everywhere. If dining guests forgot their masks, these were freely available at the guests disposal. There were even anti bacterial wipes at all the dining tables should we wish to make use of them. Besides this, the food was very varied and very tasty catering for all taste buds. The hotel's facilities were as excellent as always. Also, bearing in mind what the entire area of Marmaris and Icmeler has experienced recently- pandemic and huge devastating local fires, these people were still able to smile and make our holiday an enjoyable experience. Credit to them! An absolute "Must Do" (and I've written about this before) is the Club Turban boat day trip. Go see a lovely gentleman, Daniel who arranges these trips with his Captain, Engin. For £11 for adults and half price for kids with lunch thrown in, it's unbeatable value and an unforgettable experience. We will be returning next year for sure!

We just came back, 6 adults and 3 children and we had an amazing holiday. Food was delicious, Chinese ala carte 10 out of 10. Outstanding customer service and friendly staff. Hotel was clean with very good room service. We enjoyed the Neon and Halloween party, also live music. I recommend swimming in the heated pool... outside pool was too cold. We will visit again...

Above and Beyond

Back after another brilliant holiday at the Turban, the grounds as usual are immaculate, the cleaners and gardners do an amazing job at keeping the hotel looking fabulous. I've read the reviews on food and to be honest I don't get it. If you have an issue go speak to the hotel whilst your there, its an all inclusive hotel catering for many nationalities not just the English so try something new! It was also end of season so obviously the hotel isn't going to be offering everything they do in high season this includes a la cartes. Read the small print before booking! Plus Covid thrown into the mix things are not normal and this will be the case in many hotels. We enjoyed the a la cartes, La Querida restaurant is amazing and the salad bar is a fave of mine. The bar staff were great and quickly remember your drinks, shout out to the ice cream chap who does tricks with the ice creams before handing them over. Saim at the pool works hard every day keeping the pool spotless and always helps with beds, maids cleaned our room spotless every day and provided fresh towels. Entertainment was great the team work so hard and get everyone involved the shows and discos plus the Halloween party were brilliant. Batman even tracked down a fancy dress shop for us so my daughter could get a costume. Yezmin and team at guest relations are lovely and anything they can do to help they will. The new shops and changes are a wonderful addition to the hotel. All in all this hotel has it all, wonderful location amazing staff who will go out of there way to ensure you have a great holiday. We love the Turban and feel homesick already, see you all in May 🇹🇷❤
