This is a great hotel, with lovely rooms, the food was fantastic, a real taste of Morocco. The staff were good and talkative. The downside was that the lifts were small, only four persons max, and so it took a while to get down for breakfast, but still better than walking. No alcohol served here, but supermarket near by.
Oh Where is the Sun I paid for

We hit Marrakech early January. I expected it to be a little warmer in the mornings. By the afternoon, it was lovely. The Hotel Ayoub and Spa managed to mess up my booking on the first night giving us a twin room instead of Double. We expected water in the room. That is stated on Booking.com. There was none. Don't drink the tap water. It says it has a bar as stated on most sites, but it is merely an area that sells cans of pop and where you can order food. It does not serve alcohol. We thought the room facilities included bathrobe and slippers. There weren't any in our room. The receptionist was quite rude when we first got in, demanding the city tax be paid. One staff member was keen to save our bacon by saying it was unsafe to go to the cash point, when in fact, it was fine. He said he'd accompany us, but it was merely for the tip in helping us....as he did by taking our bags to the room, moving the bags from our room to a new room the following day(one he said he'd get an amazing one with a pool view, but was a view of the pool....if you swivelled your neck), storing our luggage, The cleaning staff are noisy and not very thorough, They come out of the lift in the mornings like they are contestants on SUPERMARKET SWEEP, dashing with their trolleys, bashing into everything on the way, dropping brooms, toiletries along the way, giggling and raising their voices. We were nearly out of toilet roll. Came back in the evening to find the last remaining loo roll had gone and so I had to ask at reception. The following day it was the turn of the tissues box. I removed it from its holder and placed it on our bed, tore the box a bit to sign it was finished. They put the torn box back into the holder. Sometimes there weren't enough towels. The gym seemed pretty good, but for the one treadmill that was broken by an over keen jogger, but I'd go with overweight as it was ripped right through. We booked the Sauna for 30 mins and after 20 minutes, a girl came in and asked my partner if she'd finished. We were ushered out after 25 minutes even though we'd paid and it was meant to be 30 plus that the time is private for our use only, So she was keen to get on with the Hammam and the next client. I refused to book again. All in all, disappointing from the hotel point of view. It is clean, It is safe, but that won't constitute a good or very good review. Too many other things the hotel could sort out. If anything, I would suggest they start by honouring the booking.

Se stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. Its clean and nice. The staff at the reception were very helpful. I became sick due to the fumes while visiting medina, so they called the doctors too. Breakfast are from 6:30-0900 which I found too early. Same breakfast everyday. They have a pool but as it was cold nobody was using it. Its far from Jenna el fna. 12-15 minutes by taxi and they charge €5 each time. There is a bus round the corner no 1 which takes to medina for just 4 dirhams.

We had a pleasant stay in this hotel; although it is a bit dated, everything was quiet and clean. The staff was engaging and helpful. The hotel is close to the center of Marrakech. It is near restaurants that offer delicious food with a very distinctive Moroccan flavor. The room was clean and roomy. We had an issue with the shower, but once we advised the front desk, they sent someone to our guestroom instantly. The staff is eager to assist and offer suggestions for local eateries.
Staff amazing, rooms not so mcuh

I stayed with a family of 4 for nine days and it was not very enjoyable. We stayed on the fifth floor and wifi was terrible and didn't even work in one of our rooms. The AC had a terrible smell and it was only on the top floor. buffet isn't very good and food is okay. On the other hand, staff are quiet but friendly and when they make your bed, they sometimes make a bow and one even folded my pyjamas! Location is very good being near the souks and Menara mall.
