We were looking for 2 rooms one of our friends asked about the price while we were waiting outside. 5 minutes later we decided to go in and take 2 rooms. The réceptionnist named Ginat gave a completely different price and justified that it was a different room catégorie and that the previous less expensive catégorie was fully booked. We asked to show us the rooms but she refused. And then told us that she won't give us any rooms and that we have to leave. I've never seen a welcome like that before. There are a lot of hotels and some of them are close to this one. So, better find another hotel, it's what we did.

WiFi doesn’t work broken bed and breakfast was terrible

When we came the bed was broken WiFi doesn’t work and if you come 1h before breakfast finishes you get only couple over boiled eggs if you lucky . The card didn’t work so we had to keep making trips downstairs. Only good thing that shopping and food court was close that’s all.

Nice location but past its prime

I'm sure that the Al Kabir was a great hotel in its heyday but that was some years ago. It's a tired echo of those days now. The staff is very helpful, fortunately. The best aspect of the hotel is also one of the worst: the location. It is very well situated but that comes with the price of noise.

The worst hotel, dirty

This was a first for me.... Walking into a room that made me gasp. It didn't matter to me that the room was outdated and shabby, but the uncleanliness was deplorable. I removed the bedspread to see that although the bed was made, the sheets appeared slept in. The bedspread had bodily fluids and the bedding was stained. See the photos I am submitting with this review. Fortunately the hotel apologized and I was able to change rooms. The new room had clean sheets, but it was still basic, outdated and shabby. Stay elsewhere.

Absolutely Atrocious

We stayed at this hotel end of March for a few nights after our tour of Morocco. And it's safe to say I will not be going back and I was advise anyone to avoid this hotel. The first night we arrived we asked about the restaurant and we were told there isn't one but we can go to the kebab shop next door... Okay but this is advertised as having a restaurant. The room was mediocre lumpy bed so I didn't sleep much but I guess its a cheap hotel anyway. My main issue with this place was on the second night we were on a limited budget so decided to buy ourselves a bottle of wine to enjoy as it was half the price what they were selling at the hotel we asked at the bar to borrow a Cork screw which he was happy to open the wine for us so started drinking it by the pool when a very unhappy looking lady walked over and told us to stop drinking it as we can't drink out own alcohol down here. Fair enough so we went upstairs to our room. At this point we then tried to charge our devices which we then realised the sockets were not working we went downstairs and the same lady that told us we can't drink our wine was at the reception we tried explaining to her that the socket wasn't working and she very rudely suggested we try a different cable... We tried telling her we had tried 3 cables 3 plugs and 3 adapters and it was not working. She suggested we could change rooms but could only offer us one with 2 single beds... Even though we booked a double room. She then suggested we plug our devices downstairs and charge them so we asked if we could drunk our wine down here for 30 minutes while we charge our devices to which we were told no but if we want to drunk our wine we can leave our devices downstairs... I was not prepared to do this there seemed to be no compassion or compensation for a room that did not function the way its described. We asked then if the hotel would supply a glass of wine for us as compensation to which the lady behind the counter laughed at us. After 45 minutes they gave us an extension cable!! What good is this if our sockets do not work. In the end we couldn't be bothered anymore as we obviously were not getting anywhere the next day we came in from the pool where the same lady was behind the front desk and was starring at me and my partner making us feel extremely uncomfortable as she clearly moaned about us to her colleagues which is highly unprofessional. Very disappointing experience and I would discourage anyone from staying here.
