It is very valuable to find an good location because it allows you to get easily where you need. The room was clean. The towels were kind of old. I was never able to get connected to wifi. I had to wait 1 hour to get checked in.

Our first time there. The rooms were simple, clean and comfortable. The breakfast they provided was fresh and delicious. The staff was pleasant and friendly. My only complaint would be that the room card kept deactivating daily even though we were registered to say 3 nights.

The hotel is fairly new and is mostly in good conditions. We had issues with the water pressure and temperature in the shower: we did not get any hot water, just warm, and had to shower close to the wall due to the lack of pressure. The temperature in the room was nice but the hallways were always very hot.

I couldn’t give this a 0 star otherwise I would👎🏼. I kid you not his place is roach infested!!!!!!! I smashed 4 large roaches, 2 medium roaches, and 4 small roaches all within 1 hour!!! This places needs to be fumigated!!! How the heck would they not do this when this is a newer hotel. This is so gross and disgusting!!!! As we walked in to the hotel I seen the biggest roach crawling in the lobby and in our room its even worse!!!! I was scared to even get up in the middle of the night, I didn’t want to see how many roaches there really were🤮. As I was writing this review I literally had to get up to kill a roach, as I was scared it would crawl on me or my kids at night.

Since I visit Matamoros once a month, I found City Express as the best option to stay. Usually I book my nights through Expedia, and this past weekend wasn't the exception, I actually had my niece's quinceanera and we all decided to spend the weekend there. I'm talking about 4 rooms! After this weekend I'm very disappointment with the staff, we had to unload a lot of boxes and they were seeing us and nobody help us they didn't let us use the buggie to make it easy anyway. On Saturday I was loading my car with some deco that I had to take to the ballroom and when I went back to my room the door was locked, I went to reception and the lady told me "yes I blocked your key because you owe 2 nights for one of your rooms" I told her that was not true and it was impossible because they checked everything when they gave me the keys. Her name Diana Padilla - SHE WAS IN VERY BAD MOOD CHECKING ON THE PAPER WORK AND YELLING TO HER COWORKERS IN FRONT OF ME. I was very shame about the other ladies because they didn't know what to do and she was keeping saying I had to pay it!. I told her I was very busy and I was going to solve the issue before I leave on Sunday. On Sunday they told me that I have to pay because Expedia never answered them and and they can do a reimbursement in the case Expedia send the payment to them, I'm still checking with Expedia to see what happened but still very disappointing with City Express Matamoros for that bad services and attitude of this lady Diana Padilla.
