Luna Palace Hotel & Suites Luna Palace is a small and charming ocean front hotel. Every room comes with a gorgeous ocean view, private balcony, and a fully equipped kitchenette, no exception! Luna is without a doubt the best option for long stays in Mazatlan. It is quiet, relaxing, and its location is close to plenty of dinning options, bars, shopping, grocery stores, and more. The on-site restaurant Eclipse offers both buffet and à la carte service. Its Mexican menu is Luna's best feature. This is an European plan property. Our heated pool includes a charming kids' area, perfect for entertain...

Another wonderful time at the Luna

Reviewed 1 november, 2021

Just got back from a 2 week stay at the Luna. The front desk staff were awesome. The staff at the restaurant were great. Our only complaint was the Wifi. Only worked good in the lobby or by the pool or in the restaurant. But understand that it is going to be addressed. It’s a nice atmosphere and enjoyed our stay.

Good value for the price

It was a nice basic room with an ocean view as promised. The balconies are not very private so make sure you are modestly dressed when you enjoy the view. The room had a kitchenette, but all the cupboards were locked. Not even a water glass, much less a coffee cup could be had until we called the front desk to open them. A guy came up and inventoried every fork and bowl while we watched in astonishment. Maybe an anti theft strategy, but kind of rude, like they expect you to steal the spatula. There also was a lot of condensation created by the airconditioning vent that dripped on the floor. Definitely a problem and a safety factor, even though the AC was greatly appreciated.

Do not stay at this hotel! They will not honor your reservation.

I was told there was no rooms available even though I had booked my reservation 3 months earlier. I was traveling with my sister and her family and I was with my family and they wanted to put all of us in 1 room. We refused and they kept giving us different excuses. We argued with them for a long time until they finally gave us each different rooms, just like the reservations has been made. There was 3 families in the lobby traveling together and they also wanted to put all of them in one room.

Solid value - best location and beach

Reviewed 9 june, 2021

This was our second stay at Luna Palace and have stayed at other locations in Mazatlan. I highly recommend Luna Palace! There is very good value for the cost to stay there but the customer service is even better. Carmen at the concierge desk is amazing and helps to make every detail of the stay work out (especially for those not fluent in Spanish - she's a lifesaver!). Mazatlan is a great community to recreate in, with a good blend of things to do and see - without being overcrowded by the throngs of tourists. If the beach is important to your vacation, the beach in front of Luna (and the 4 associated Palace hotels) is the best stretch of beach of any of the hotels we have seen. Storms in recent years has not been kind to the beach in front of many of the hotels in the zone, so we were very glad to spend a week along the best of the beach in front of Luna Palace. Luna was a very Covid-safe facility and their operations showed that and gave confidence to the visit. We found plenty of chairs along the beach and Luna is a much quieter location than Oceano, etc. Obviously, lots of fun to be had by all. All rooms have an ocean view. The best rooms on each floor are the "001" and "002" suites on the front corner. "001" is the very best and the even number floors are even better with extensive wrap around balconies (odd number floors have 2 separate balconies (pool and ocean).....these also have the best sunset views.
