Nice stay passing through Medford
WE stopped on our way to CA. We also passed through in May at stayed at Springhill Suites across the parking lot. Everything here was fine including the grab n go breakfast. The bed seemed smaller than the Springhill suites. Perhaps only a double. I also purchased a small bottle of wine in the front store. I made the mistake of not asking how much prior to purchasing. I was quite surprised the next day at how much it was. Just be sure when purchasing at the convenience market at front of any hotel to ask the price! You pay for the convenience.
Kudos to Tyler at the frong desk
When I checked in I was given a great option to be near the pet relief area for my dog. Then, my sister in law and 6-year old niece came to visit me. My niece showed up in her bathing suit. There were no openings left as the appointments were all booked. We were so disappointed. He was so nice that he called me when it was available -- someone left early so we had the pool for about 30 minutes before it closed. My niece was so happy. Its the little things like that that make me a loyal Marriott guest!
Terrible experience.
Wish I had something nice about the hotel. It looked nice from the outside l guess, but then they cancelled my reservation at 645pm the day I was due to arrive. When we arrived they told my wife that they had two rooms available for us, but once we went back in to get them they told us they actually had no rooms available. Whoops. I guess that a booking at this hotel doesn’t mean anything, it’s just first come first serve. We called Expedia who rebooked us into a much worse hotel at the same price, so that worked out well. We also had to pay another $30 for a dog even though we had already paid it at the other hotel. So that was nice. Luckily they booked us two rooms which combined costed less than one room in this hotel, because in the hospitality industry, two terrible rooms is the same as one suite. Can’t recommend staying here, since they clearly don’t know how to treat customers. Did I mention that they cancelled our booking fully knowing that we had two 3 year old kids and a dog with us, and also knowing full well how hard it is to find hotel rooms that are pet friendly? Should have mentioned that in this colossal screw up. Save yourself some time. Stay somewhere else.
Really nice
Just was impressed with this Hotel. Tyler at the front desk ask if we wanted to be on the 2nd or 3rd and we just said we wanted something quiet and away from the elevator. We were given just that and it was great. Breakfast was good and the sausage was turkey which made it even better. Nice stay.
Consistently pleasant
I travel to this hotel at least eight times per year. The hotel is always clean, the rooms are reasonably appointed, and they have a nice little gym. My only constructive comments would be the following: 1. A pull-up and dip tower in the gym would be a nice addition 2. For the morning breakfast, if it is at all possible, most of the food items seem to run out very quickly and the staff have a difficult time keeping up with replenishing the food. Don't know if this is a staffing issue or not having enough equipment to keep up with the demand. That said, it is a very nice and appreciated part of the stay
