Amazing resort

Reviewed 4 december, 2021

We really enjoyed our stay. The water bungalow was amazing. The staff are so friendly and could not fault the food. The chefs, waiters and bar staff were all lovely. There is also entertainment on an evening. The resort is like being in a dream. The sea is beautiful and we spent most nights watching the sea life beneath the room including sharks, sting rays and many types of fish. The dive centre staff were fantastic. We did a sea turtle snorkelling trip (unfortunately didn’t see any turtles but saw lots of fish and a reef shark) and we also did the shark feeding trip. You can also pay extra for a full face snorkel which came in very handy for me as I struggle with a normal snorkel. A few tips: There can be a wait for sea plane (ours was 3 hours) however we waited in the VIP lounge where food and drink were provided. We then had a few stops before our resort so we were on the sea plane for 1.5 hours. Make sure you pack a spare pair of clothes and something to freshen up in your hand luggage. Due to weight restrictions our luggage did not come on the plane we travelled on (Trans Maldivian airways do let you know in advance) but it was hours afterwards when it eventually arrived by this point felt grubby. This is no fault of the resorts but one thing which could be improved is communication when this happens. We sat in the bar and weren’t told our luggage had arrived. It was only because we asked another couple who travelled on our plane. If we had of known we could have freshened up and gone to dinner much earlier instead of rushing. The resort provide lots of accessories for the bathroom - toothbrush and paste, shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. These were all sufficient so no need to pack. They also have a hairdryer in the room, it’s a travel style dryer but it’s powerful enough and I have long hair, however it’s only got a small cord so each time I was using it the plug kept disconnecting from the wall. And last but not least pack lots of sun cream and after sun. There is a shop on the resort if you run out but luckily we packed plenty.

Holiday of a lifetime!

Reviewed 2 december, 2021

Where to begin?! This really was the holiday of a lifetime and if you are considering booking this hotel, do it! On arrival we were greeted by drums and welcome garlands and a drink. Check in was very quick and we were given a tour of the island on the way to our water bungalow. Rooms: We stayed in a water bungalow for 14 nights in November - wow!! We were fortunate to have a sunset facing room  which actually got the sun all day long (306). The room was spotless and so stunning, the glass floor was an amazing addition and we saw so many exciting marine life swim by daily. The outside deck was spacious with sunbeds, a day bed and a trampoline/hammock which was lovely to relax on. Thank you to Afey, who kept our mini fridge well stocked and our room always nice and tidy. Food & drink: The food and drinks were amazing. There were endless choices at each meal and the walk in fridges with dessert/fruit/cheeses/salads were a welcome addition. The live cooking stations always had something tasty and exciting and there was a huge variety of food that never felt repetitive, even for a 2 week stay. We were assigned a table for the duration of our stay  which meant it was really nice to know that you could sit in the same spot each day and that your table would always be free. A huge thank you to our waiter Samir - you were so friendly and it was lovely to get to speak to you each day & to Sharma at the entrance desk - you were so happy and friendly and we loved that you would go out of your way to chat to us whenever you saw us 😊 all of the staff are doing an amazing job and nothing is ever too much trouble. Thank you to all of the bar staff who made so many exciting drinks for us and were all too happy to come up with their own concoctions if you didn't know what you'd like. All Inclusive: We uprated our all-inclusive package to the Premium AI and were not disappointed. The package included great benefits such as everything in the mini bar was free & replenished daily, a seafood meal on the beach which was incredible, 2 massages per person , 2 dolphin safari trips per person, a bottle of sparkling wine on arrival (which we were surprised to find was also provided again at the start of week 2!). If you're considering the upgrade, do it! It's well worth the extras. Spa: We had two visits to the spa during our stay for 60 min balinese massage. The massages were amazing! All of the staff were so friendly, and the ladies gave fantastic massages - we left feeling so relaxed afterwards. Thank you to Montana and everyone at the spa, we throughly enjoyed. Watersports: Magic and the team at the dive centre were absolutely incredible. Having a long fear of being underwater  I knew I wanted to try a dive in the Maldives, and with the patience and help of Magic, I did! I'm so grateful and he was an excellent teacher , putting you at ease and explaining everything thoroughly. Big thanks to Jerry and Kahley for taking us out on a night Snorkel. We were lucky enough to be the only two people who signed up, and this was an unforgettable experience snorkelling with nurse sharks, sting rays , octopuses and so much more. The guys were great at taking our underwater cameras to dive down and get amazing footage - Thank you so much! During our time there, we also used the canoes which was great fun. The whole team are so friendly and doing an amazing job, make sure you pay them a visit! There are so many incredible things I could say about this hotel and the staff, but mostly a huge thank you to every single person at Cinnamon Hakuraa Huraa, we had the holiday of dreams and can't wait til the day we can return!

Honeymoon Cinnamon Hakuraa Huraa

Overall an amazing holiday for us, beautiful hotel on a beautiful island. We arrived via seaplane which was a fun experience with stunning views. We spent 8 nights in a beach bungalow on the platinum island which was blissfully quiet and serene, you get your own little private patch of beach, then we did 2 nights in a water bungalow at the end of our stay which was really fun. The water is so clear, we saw sharks and rays just in the shallows by both of our rooms. If you want to see the reef theres a boat trip x2 a day free of charge that takes you out a little further to deeper water. The food was great, buffet style with loads of choice and they also have cooking stations where you can ask the chefs for something specific if you want. Rathna and Haman looked after us for food/drinks and the service was excellent, 100%. Everyone was super friendly and polite. We saw fruit bats in the trees, we had x2 massages in the spa (they give you offers) which was super relaxing and the sunset shark trip is an absolute must if you want to see something special. We would go back in a heartbeat, a very special place if you want to just chill out and get away from it all.

What a wonderful time we had, the perfect place for friends to relax.

WOW…… my friend and I have just returned home after the most amazing holiday at Cinnamon Hakuraa Huraa. They really have thought of everything! The water villa was amazing and the staff are simply wonderful, they looked after us like we were royalty. We enjoyed snorkelling, dolphin trip, sunset shark trip, whole body massage at the spa was so good we booked a second visit. The food was amazing and catered for all tastes, but curried beetroot is leaving me desperately trying to book again omg it was a taste sensation. Our server at the restaurant was lovely and efficient making sure we had everything we needed. Our room attendant was lovely and made the most beautiful bed decorations, we were totally blown away. Thank you to each and every member of staff that made our stay a fabulous experience and we hope to see you again in the future xx

Vacation in Paradies

Wonderful island, Wonderful hotel, very friendly staff However we were disappointed that we were not allowed to go on Platinum Island. We thought it would be 2 islands and 3 Restaurants but really there is only one Island and one Restaurant since Crab is not included in all inclusive
