Initially given wrong room, then no safe, then third room lucky! Very clean, with daily cleaning. Location is excellent for ferry to Gozo, bus for full island, Dive Centre. Outdoor pools are good size. Staff are helpful. Rooms are good size. Views lovely.
Nice hotel, good location

Nice hotel, good location and easy to get around on the bus. Facilities were great and everything was clean. The staff didn’t really seem to behave like any other tourist hotel as when asking for bus times and other general information it was not immediately forthcoming. After a couple of days they seemed to get used to our random questions and volunteered more helpful explanations. The biggest and only disappointment was the wearing of face masks. No one other than the shop enforced it or questioned it even though it was law at the time of my visit. The guests all wore one into to the restaurant otherwise they were not allowed in but seemed to not want to elsewhere. I would of expected the hotel to take a stronger stance considering the buses, the churches, restaurants and shops everywhere on Malta enforced the wearing of masks.

We checked out of Paradise Bay Resort after a 3 night stay. The hotel (built in 1974) is definitely not a 5 star hotel nor does it live up to a 4 star hotel as advertised. Despite mixed reviews on TripAdvisor, we chose this hotel for its location with respect to Paradise Bay Beach and the Gozo/Comino ferries. Also, the half board rate of €100 per night was fairly reasonable. Choose an upper bay-view room if staying here for a great view of Paradise Bay Beach. Paradise Bay Resort could be great but needs total remodeling and new management.
Likes: location, view from room, pool, access for a swim in the sea
Dislikes: room fairly dated, leak from ceiling required us to change room the second night, terrible mattress, insufficient information at check in, no drinking water in room

The location is very far away from anything except the ferry to Gozo . There are buses but they take a long time to get anywhere .
The tiny beach attached to this hotel is right by the ferry port so it’s noisy and smells of diesel.
There is a another small beach which is lovely called paradise bay not too far away. The taxi costs €5 each way.
The hotel pools are lovely but the staff are miserable . Hotel shop is so over priced.
Do NOT use the electronic scooters they don’t unlock and still charge as if you are using them.
Beds are terrible I was in agony every morning. Breakfast is the same every day and bad quality.
Aircon works fine . View is lovely.
Be prepared for a very quiet holiday unless you get a hire car .
The weather in September/October can turn on a dime . One minute sunny next thunderstorm and rain. Bring an umbrella .
Good luck 🤞
Great location, great views!

Having stayed before, I'm always impressed with room size at Paradise Bay... Very spacious compared to many places, and with everything needed for a comfortable stay.
Lovely location with great views on both sides, and very handy for the ferry to Gozo.
I was only on B&B and only had dinner in the restaurant once... Well organised considering the current limitations, which did seem to result in less veggie options than on pre-Covid stays, but still enough to make up with, and the free wine/beer/soft drinks with dinner was a big bonus!
The food across at Porto lounge was excellent, and the beach never felt crowded... And I should mention the friendly and helpful service from the staff there, with both the food and beach service, and also from Victoria, guest relations, ahead of my visit, ensuring my room requests were honoured, which was very much appreciated.
All in all, another pleasant stay... Thanks all!
