I would recommend the Holiday Inn Southwind for your next visit to Memphis. The property was clean and efficient. The full breakfast was well stocked and breakfast hours were very accommodating. But the staff, particularly the evening crew, were exceptional. This crew goes so far above and beyond what is expected during such stressful times for hotel staffs. They truly are bringing back the lost art of treating customers the way they would want to be treated. Well done Holiday Inn!
Very nice and comfortable

I've stayed here a couple of times, and both times were good stays. Nice rooms, clean grounds, friendly people, decent prices. Breakfast buffet was on par with other good HIEs. Just a solid all-around stay. Looking forward to staying here again.

This is our third time staying at this property and it was our most disappointing stay yet. Upon check in I was asked to sign two separate waivers...one with very specific pool rules and the other for the cleaning fees if room is destroyed (which led us to believe they've had re-occuring issues at this location). There was a chicken wing bone in the elevator which was another indication that things have gone downhill here, along with the smell of pot when we exited the elevator on 2nd floor. Our room had a very limited supply of towels (1 clean bath towel and 1 dirty bath towel, one wash cloth and one hand towel). The breakfast room was blocked off by a table and only acxessible by one employee who took my food order and offered 2 juice selections (and advised that water would need to be purchased at reception). I was left with the impression that they had a need to control the amount of food being eaten by their guests (assuming they've had previous issues since even with covid safety protocols other Holiday Inns offered guests a grab and go option). They fitness center floor was covered in dirt stains and didn't look like it had been vacuumed in weeks, no clean towels, and workout mats didn't appear to be cleaned in some time. I will mention atleast a few positives about this property: the front lobby staff were very friendly and our King size bed was very comfortable...otherwise unfortunately not a very favorable stay. As a long time Holiday Inn Spire member it's very discouraging to write this negative review.

I really enjoyed my stay here. My room was clean and the breakfast was really good! Staff was really nice and I slept well. When asked for towels and sheets, they provided them quickly and they were clean and pressed

Quick efficient check in. Very small lobby. Room is spacious with large TV and couch. My room wasn’t set up completely as in... no light bulb in the lamp by my bed, no regular coffee pods just decaf and the tissues, shampoo and body wash are empty. Luckily I packed some extra. The air in my room was off so when I came in it was 80 degrees! I feel like they should have at least had it set on cool at 75. They say they are serving breakfast in the morning so it looks like they are getting back to normal since covid. I’ll be hitting up Cracker Barrel that is basically in the parking lot. That’s definitely a plus. Bed is pretty comfy, too. Like I said, overall experience just ok.
