The Peabody Memphis is a 5 star hotel located in the heart of the city, surrounded by music venues and hundreds of dining options. World-famous Beale Street blues clubs are a half-mile away and Graceland is less than a 15-minute drive from the hotel. Memphis International Airport is 11 miles away. This landmark spot cultivates its traditions — particularly eccentric ones, such as the famous twice-daily duck walk, when the hotel's resident waterfowl march along a red carpet to the marble lobby fountain for their swim. Personal attention is the calling card for the Peabody Memphis, and guests ar...

Okay, but overpriced

Room 1229. $500 a night. The room was clean but the bed is worn out. The room floor is caving in in several places. You have to request every service, such as blow dryers, additional towels other than the two provided for your stay duration, or toiletries if needed as the room isn't made up unless requested. The view is a wall of windows of the hotel next door. No coffee pot in the room, no coffee in the hotel until 6:30 downstairs in the hotel deli. The 'Club' on the 12th floor is basically a free hampton experience which the guest pays extra for. The extra fees they add to the nightly bill are shameful: shoe shine fee, spa and pool fee, wifi fee, online newspaper fee. Parking, with the additional 14% fee, is $50 per night. The ducks, of course, are cute.and the duck Master works hard to make the show interesting. Whole families park in the lobby on the couches hours in advance to wait for the ducks, which is necessary since the Duck March is technically for hotel guests only and the hotel doors are locked to outsiders shortly prior to the show. Also pet friendly for the owners who travel with their dogs and there appears to be no weight or number limit. The on-site restaurant is very good, though, and there are a lot of gift shops, full of cool things, on-site. Which is good, since you can't leave the hotel without meeting numerous beggers.

Historic Memphis Hotel

Reviewed 26 november, 2021

The hotel is definitely historic. Although it does show its age when you look closer. Yet I will say that it is quite well maintained for what it is. The rooms were clean, smelled nice. Bathroom was clean but SMALL! No room service (except when specifically requested) to clean the room due to COVID, which would have been OK except we were not told about this. Disappointing especially when you pay this much! Lobby is neat including watching the famous ducks. Everyone seemed nice and friendly. It is a busy lobby in the evenings!

Excellent long weekend

The Peabody's presentation was perfection. My wife and I enjoyed every aspect of the hotel during our 3 night stay. Being close to Beale Street made the experience even more enjoyable. We plan to return to Memphis in the future and will stay at the Peabody again.

Incredible experience

I absolutely loved our experience. The staff were all loving and kind to my entire family. A special thank you to the Duck Master for making my children feel special and included and to Dwight the barman who chatted to us and told us such interesting facts about the hotel. The rooms were clean and the beds were so comfortable! Location was perfect. My only suggestion would be to have a little fridge in the room. I like to keep water cold for the next day.

This was such a great experience! We never wanted to leave! Excellent service and ambiance - felt like royalty! Room service and staff were right on point. Ordered food for our dogs that was waiting for them in our room when we arrived :) highly recommend valet parking & the Italian grill for breakfast - Billy is fantastic!
