Great place to stay
Reviewed 18 april, 2022
The staff is very efficient, kind and helpful at all times. The place is really comfortable, with a modern design and natural light everywhere, clean, silent, with spacious rooms. I spent 5 days with my family group of 4 and we were all happy to have chosen MOD Hotel. The location is very good, far from noisy downtown and yet walking distance or a 5-min taxi ride to all types of restaurants. Breakfast is very good, with a complete selection of options. If I were to recommend an improvement, it would be to add dinner or a room service snack option, since due to covid restrictions dinner was not available at the hotel, which after a 12-hour tour was an uncomfortable frustration.

Very Disappointed in Mendoza
Reviewed 2 october, 2019
I’m writing to say I’m very disappointed in my selection of this hotel. Mendoza is a lovely place and worth a trip but avoid this hotel unless you are paying less than 50 dollars a night.....it’s way way overpriced. This hotel is sold not as the best in Mendoza but at least as clean modern and decent. I can’t say it meets any of those descriptions. The room is very very worn. The carpet is frayed and stained and desperately needs replacement The hot water didn’t work when we arrived We have to double beds, one of the cushions is damaged and uncomfortable and can’t been used. The shower heads look like they are 25 years old. The pillows seem like they are from the US army Finally we went for the breakfast during the appointed time and they had already taken in down and has the gaul to charge for a coffee Even after we had prepaid 5 days we asked for a one hour late check out...even though the hotel is empty that was denied Avoid this place unless you get it really cheap The picture here of the shower head is an example of A very worn hotel

Nice place in general
Reviewed 1 august, 2019
· Breakfast was good, eggs every day, but sometimes it was not refilled on time. Location is in the center, but a little on side. Staff was very helpful, answered all other qustions and helped with everything - special thank you to Julietta! Mini-bar was good, more better than in many other hotels (I mean how does it work like a fridge). In general need to make some renovations and a little repairs, at least closing and opening windows (it doesn't keep its opened position), and there is no mosquitonets. · Buttons for light inside the room and bathroom was amazing unuseful, I can't imagine who chosed them and why, also sink in the bathroom - it was the MOST inconvenient sink I have ever seen, can't imagine who even CREATED it and why, for me it means water everywhere after every washing my face. Micriwave is just above the sink of the mini-kitchen, and that is also very uncomfortable - why is it not in other side? there is nothing on that side, and it can be there. Unfortunally, there was nothing in the kitchen except 2 glasses - there is a notice to ask something if you need, but I think it is normal to have at least basic cutlery and plates for 2 people (if there will be 2 people in the room) without any special requests, because the room is with mini-kitchen. Kettle is also can be helpful. No vegetables on breakfast, jamon is sweet.

Good hotel in dire need of refurbishment
Reviewed 31 july, 2019
Travelled with extended family for a weeklong trip to Mendoza and picked this hotel as our base. Expected a modern, well located, well kept building with above average amenities and facilities. Real-life experience was a bit of a hit-and-miss. Facilities: ok, nothing fancy, furniture in need of refurbishment. Jacuzzi a bit rundown and not working as expected. Gym is about average. Apartments: Roomy, warm, comfortable, with plenty of room, good beds, very clean. Unfortunately was next door to a family with noisy kids and the door connecting the rooms allowed enough noise to disrupt our sleep. Carpet floors were terrible for my allergy. Staff was generally friendly, but very confused and uncoordinated. After schedulling a taxi in advance to takes us to the bus station at 1AM, front desk told me he thought he was supposed to call it by 7AM. Told me he did not understand what his colleague wrote. We almost missed the bus. Asked the front desk to make a reservation to use the Jacuzzi, only to find it empty, with the responsible telling us nobody told him about it. During peak hours in breakfast, restaurant was severely understaffed, struggling to keep up with all the guests. But worst experience was during dinner. Waiter forgot our order, brought our food almost 45 minutes later and still asked for tips. Didn´t even apologize. Food was terrible: greasy, tasteless and for the same price one would pay in the best restaurants in town, like Azafran and Anna Bistro. Location is not bad, 4 blocks away from main street, but it is way too far from the nicer restaurant and bars (Sarmiento, Aristides Villanueva). Hotel is in what seems to be the oldest part of town. Neighborhood doesn´t feel safe to walk at night. Overall, a frustrating experience.

Bad service. Situated in unsafe area
Reviewed 8 april, 2019
Be very careful with this hotel. They charge you full for all nights prebooked even if you cancel some nights well in advance. Further the hotel is not situated in a safe area of the city - so be careful. Cannot recommend this hotel
