More about the hotel
NOT WORTH THE MONEY
This hotel charged me more than 200 euros a night which was definitely NOT worth the money at all. The rooms were tiny, the beds did not even have duvet covers, and it didn't even have private bathrooms. The staff at the reception were less than helpful, and non of the amenities were open to the hotel guests due to COVID. While I know I went in a less than ideal circumstance with COVID looming, I still don't believe that anyone should pay more than EU100 for a night there. It is not luxurious AT ALL.
great views from the balcony
Great hotel, the staff were very friendly and assisted in whatever way they could. Food was really good too. The views from the balcony were fabulous for watching the boats. The roof top jacuzzis were great too you could sit in them watching the boats and there was a welcoming breeze
The very best hotel in Menorca
Amazing hotel. The perfect place to relax and enjoy Menorca. The hotel is emplaced in a beautiful and quiet area. The staff in the hotel is very polite . Everything is perfectly organised and clean, what is very important due to COVID-19 . I strongly recommend sea view rooms, it’s always a pleasure to wake up with the sunrise over the sea.
Lack of Air Conditioning
I’m checking into our room there temperature was uncomfortable to say the least. I immediately called reception and then also went to the desk to ask to be moved. I was told that for environmental reasons the Aircon doesn’t kick in until the temperature rises above 27°. The room was therefore uncomfortably hot in the mornings and overnight. We slept with the balcony door open and fortunately we had a sea view. Goodness knows what we’d have done otherwise. The environmental issue I believe is an excuse for wishing to save money. It’s simply not good enough for a four-star hotel not to have adequate air-conditioning. Breakfast is fine. All the usual stuff. Egg station, fruits, meats, cheeses, pastries, breads/toaster. Coffee was from a machine which was disappointing. Perhaps this was done for COVID reasons? However, I like a good filter coffee with breakfast. No moisturiser in the room. No minibar during COVID time and no room service. We had one dinner and one lunch and the food was not the standard of a 4* hotel. The hotel really must improve these two things – air-conditioning and food (filter coffee too in fact; it’s not difficult). I’ve given three stars because the solarium area on the top floor with the Jacuzzis is really very nice indeed. The rooftop bar wasn’t open when we were there no doubt due to COVID so I imagine this could be a disappointment for some who might have been expecting it to be open. Staff are pleasant enough. Would I go back or recommend? Not unless they sort out the quite fundamental problems noted above. Shame because I loved dinners at Ana Luisa a couple of mins from the hotel and the hotel location is great.
Relaxing
Fabulous hotel especially as it’s adults only just so nice to get away from children for a while. Large reception area with bar/restaurant and lift/stairs to all floors all well kept and very clean. Rooms well equipped with hair dryer etc. Rooftop bar which has stunning views , really nice watching the sun go down, hot tubs are also located on the roof, when we visited one was not working properly, I felt a bit sorry for the waitress working during the day as she was rushed off her feet, hotel really should of had at least 2/3 staff working up there, just a word of warning make sure you visit reception before you go up to the roof bar if visiting the tubs for towels, we were not asked for a deposit but other members of our party were! Our booking was for bed/breakfast basis - breakfast was self service with a very good selection of fruits/cheeses/all types of eggs which were cooked whilst you waited/smoked salmon/hams/cereals/pastries and breads, coffee/tea making machines. We did not eat in the restaurant as hotel is so close to many good restaurants in the area. Car would be handy to go exploring but you can easily walk into town or catch the bus ! Taxis are not expensive. Parking is available outside the hotel but spaces are limited but free.
