Disappointing and rude service

We were very much looking forward to staying in this modern hotel. We are travelling in Europe with the car. The hotel advertised parking but when we arrived it is just the public ones around ( we parked across the road in the train parking which advertises €16 for 24 hours but we paid €32 as the 24 hours included a night !!! ) We had booked a superior room as shown on the website but were given a classic one. When we complained were just told to email rather than given a refund of the difference . Check in took 30 minutes with surly staff but we were able to drop our bags and pick up our keys later. When we returned from our day to pick them up, a receptionist was on the phone and didn’t acknowledge us with even a glance . He spoke to someone behind a screen who answered him but again no one came forward and we were ignored for 5 minutes before we were given our key. The room was ok though there was hair on the walls next to the bath. The room otherwise was ok but not what we had reserved. Unfortunately there was also loud live music just below the room from 10pm until just before midnight. We appreciate this probably wasn’t the hotels fault but not what you want after a day out in Venice . Altogether disappointing. My first negative tripadvisor review!
Great place to catch the Covid !!!

Covid ???? The hôtel has no idea what it is all about when it comes to the dining room. Breakfast is a horror. For our 4 days there apt any time of the Breakfast schedule the dishes of EVERYTHING were empty. As soon as the poor lady brought what ever food, people dove in it before she could reach the buffet line. No hygiene. Indeed Gel and plastic gloves are available at the entrance but very few people use either one. No supervision. Everyone uses the same prongs to get the food or their hands. It looks more like a war zone that a dining room. People walk around the dining room with no mask No rules enforced !!! I would not be surprised if a great Covid cluster started in this hotel. The staff is friendly but totally overwhelmed !! 3 ladies for 300 guests. How cheap can you be Mr Manager to save so much on the staff. The rooms are OK but staff must be used to cleaning round rooms as the corners are not cleaned. Front desk staff friendly and efficient. But rather overwhelmed as well. No special cleaning for the Covid in the rooms. Stay away from this place if you want to stay healthy and enjoy your visit in the Venice area. And please Mr Manager staff your hotel properly. With or without covid I would never recommend your property to anyone .

Plaza is a very good hotel when you want to visit Venice. The hotel looks good, has a friendly staff and good breakfast . The rooms are clean and comfortable. It has a good location next to the station and it has parking. Quite noisy but we managed to sleep well.

People very nice , room perfect will all amenities you need ...I will be back Location is really useful just in front Venice Mestre railway station and so you can go very easy to Venice 10 minutes train
Disappointed with cancellation

I booked this through Agoda.com as part of a holiday including a Venice cruise with my granddaughter. I booked non-refundable as we were determined to go. But Covid19 caused the cruise to be cancelled. Of the 3 hotels I had booked this is the only hotel/agent that refused to refund. To be fair to the hotel they seemed prepared to talk but insisted I went through Agoda.com. I could not find an email address to explain the situation and when I tried using the app the room has been cancelled without refund. I fully accept that legally they are in the right but Agoda.com are showing no compassion or even a mechanism to discuss in writing. I will never use Agoda.com again.
