AVOID AT ALL COSTS
The staff at the hotel are the absolute nicest people. However, the mattresses and pillows are groos, old, and will give you back issues. We stayed at the hotel for about 2 weeks. After the first unbearable night, we asked to be switched to a different room in which the mattress hadn't collapsed unto itself. 3 rooms later we were put in a room where the bed wasn't too bad. I experienced unbearable back aches all through out our trip which made it really hard to walk long distances when exploring all the museums and sights in the city. I would NEVER stay in another City Express hotel. This place wasn't cheap and our experence was outright horrible.
Excellent!
What made it really a good stay was the staff; reception and housekeeping. They were very kind, helpful and efficient. Committed to their work. Brenda, Astrid, Stephanie and leo to name a few. Housekeeping staff were so hard-working and courteous. The breakfast spread was amazing. Rooms were nice. It was a pleasant stay.
A week in Mexico City
An excellent hotel, conveniently located within the vicinity of a small shopping mall with lots of conveniences. I felt very safe and secure. The hotel was pleasing, clean and comfortable. It was also very reasonably priced.
Too expensive for being so basic
The only great thing about this hotel is, its location. I am currently staying at this hotel for the 3rd or 4th time (due to lack of a better choice and last minute rushes). I see zero improvement. Even hotels at small cities like Cd. Juarez had smart TVs but here you get a very basic TV and basic channels with crappy clarity. house keeping is equally bad, one day they forget water bottle, one day they forget towels, daily something or the other, I started to get a feeling that they are doing it on purpose just to save some silly pesos. for the price they charge, for being in such a big city like CDMX, their service and quality is absolutely crappy.
Not my favorite hotel, but...
This by far isn’t my favorite hotel and I would only recommend it if you are on a business trip, won’t be staying long, and need something cheap. The room is actually clean and pretty modern looking, but the bed is not very comfortable. The mattress seemed old, lumpy and hard. the towels are old and the bathroom needs an update. My shower curtain was old, warn, and barely hanging on to the rod and the interior of the bathroom looks more like that of a motel. The other issue was sleep. In the morning, before seven am, it’s very noisy from traffic on the street. Constant cars honking. If you’re here for vacation, or to relax in your room, you may want to find another place.
