Hotel moderno para surfistas adinerados. Si no cumplis ni uno u otro requisito existen otras opciones. Habitaciones modernas, comodas y amplias. Desayuno tipo buffet sin originalidades...con un cafe horrible. En nuestro caso les falto cierta profesionalidad en el checking dado que llegamos despues de un viaje de noche.

Hemos pasado cinco maravillosos días en Orkos Beach Hotel. La atención de Michalis y sus compañeros fue extraordinaria. Las habitaciones son espaciosas y todo muy limpio, quizá la única pega es la ducha (realmente pequeña). Es la ubicación ideal para practicar windsuf y kitesurf. Hay un restaurante en el complejo, que no pertenece al hotel, que sirve una comida muy buena, los sandwiches estaban riquísimos y eran grandes. Hacen descuento a los clientes del hotel. En frente un supermercado (no muy simpáticos y que casi nunca tienen billetes de autobús) y al lado un take away (Kontos) que hacen unos ricos gyros pyta kebab para llevar. También hay el restaurante Kontos al lado que sirve comida casera.

Hotel excelente para los amantes del kitesurf. Reservamos un apartamento con vistas al mar y no nos defraudó para nada. Habitaciones grandes, muy limpias y súper tranquilas. Las toallas muy esponjosas, armarios más que suficientes y atención de Michalis impecable! En el bar del complejo ofrecen comida y cena a muy buen precio y buenísima. El desayuno muy completo, solo encontré en falta algo de croissants, jejeje Recomiendo este hotel para gente que practiquen kitesurf, yo no lo hago pero mi pareja si, y sinceramente me aburrí un poco ya que no hay nada cerca, sólo 2 restaurantes ( el Kontos, malísimo y el Elyta que se come muy bién) también hay un supermarket delante del hotel pero no tienen nada y está muy sucio, mejor andar unos 200 metros donde hay otro que esta mucho mejor.

Chilled vibe - more shady areas required

We loved the vibe of this hotel right next to the kite surfing shop which also does lovely food and drinks. Our room had a curvy flint stones feel to it and the views and sunsets were stunning from our balcony. More storage in the bathroom is needed as this room is essentially a wet room and even the toilet and loo roll gets wet. Really comfy beds and room was refreshed daily. Staff are relaxed and friendly, breakfast was lovely. (Nut milk as an alternative to cows milk would have been good - only cows milk available) The seating areas are accessible all day and the hotel don’t mind at all if you bring in food from other places to eat (the souvlaki from Kontos across the road is worth a try & super cheap) The pool is lovely with comfortable enough sun loungers, no umbrellas are available but we found shade under the trees, it just meant we were moving our stuff around a lot. A few umbrellas would be useful. The beach is stunning and has much more room and less touristy than nearby Plaka but sunloungers and umbrellas are sparse. You will have to buy your own umbrella for shade. TIP ABOUT CAR HIRE - we asked the hotel about hiring a car and they best they could do was a basic car for 140 euros for one day or 240 euros for 2 days. We walked up to the car rental shop up the road (turn left from the hotel & walk up road for about 3 mins) and we got a car for 50 euros for 24 hrs. RECOMMENDATIONS - Victoria cafe is truly lovely, we went at sunset for pizza and it was the nicest pizza I’ve had in a long time. The view is beautiful, chilled music and great if you have little ones as there is a play park in the dunes. Chalki is a nice village to visit with some cute little shops and cafes. We had a crepe in cafe Grecco which was gorgeous We also visited the old derelict hotel in Alyko which has some amazing graffiti, there are some gorgeous little quiet beaches to swim in there too.

We stayed in Orkos Beach as a small group of friends and had the best time ever! The hotel is really pretty, with love for the detail, and super close to the kite beach which was the main reason to book in the beginning. But when we got here we totally fell in love with this place. The staff is super friendly and always happy to help, the breakfast is really nice and offering all that you need. And if you feel like food and drinks during the day or at night just go to Flisvos Kite Center next door: good vibes and a team that felt like family as soon as we visited for the first time. We will miss this place and will come back for sure!
