Basic business hotel, not quite for family

This is a very basic business hotel, which I made the mistake of booking for a family stay. Location is 10 min walk to the Lambrate subway station which is ok. The room was spacious, clean, had a desk, wardrobe and sideboard for luggage. The shower was very narrow and only 1 type of eco-friendly shower gel/shampoo was provided. I do appreciate the towel rack they provided as there were 4 of us. Most rooms have only 1 or 2 hooks to hang towels, even if they accommodate 4. Wifi speed was good and easy to connect. Our room was next to the stairs leading up from the entrance. So in the evenings, the peace would be broken by stomping up and down the stairs, doors opening and closing every time someone entered or left, and their voices echoing down the corridor as they spoke. The front desk staff were polite but not particularly helpful. On their website, airport shuttle is listed as an available service. On Hotels.com it was listed as avail for €50, which is the main reason why I booked this place. When I asked the staff about this, she said there’s no such service and she’d reserve a taxi for us. We only need 30 min to get to the airport. Luckily I checked, as it takes at least 1h! So later in the day, we went to the front desk to change the timing of our taxi booking. Another staff was there and told us no such booking was made. He’s unable to book a taxi in advance and we only need to come down 5 min before our desired time and the staff will call for a taxi for us. And, the one way taxi ride is a fixed price of €100.

RECEPTION CHE NON PARLA ITALIANO MA SPAGNOLO! UNICO POSTO A MILANO IN CUI È IMPOSSIBILE LASCIARE I BAGAGLI DOPO EFFETUATO IL CHECKOUT. Abbiamo soggiornato una notte in questo posto, luogo anche molto decente con un arredo molto minimal. All'arrivo non ci è stato detto l'orario del checkout dell'indomani e dunque abbiamo presupposto fosse alle 10 del mattino. Alle 10 è salito a bussarci una persona dall'aspetto sudamericano che ci dice di liberare la stanza. Gli ho detto che stavamo per uscire di darci qualche minuto in più. Mentre stavamo uscendo ci chiama al telefono della stanza e ci intima di scendere subito sennò ci avrebbe fatti pagare una penale di 35 euro per il ritardo (?????). Arrivati alla reception che tra l'altro è una reception di una azienda farmaceutica gli chiediamo di poter lasciare i bagagli in modo da poter girare la città in modo tranquillo. Ci viene negato CATEGORICAMENTE per il motivo che non sia. (parlava una sorta di italiano mischiato allo spagnolo). Preciso che all'arrivo abbiamo potuto lasciare tranquillamente i nostri bagagli ma in un posto dove passavano continuamente i dipendenti dell'azienda e poter tranquillamente accedere ai nostri effetti personali. Non sono una persona che di solito lascia recensioni, soprattutto negative, perché sul lavoro è normale sbagliare, ma la maleducazione non la accetto! STATE ALLA LARGA DA QUESTO POSTO!

In una zona facilmente raggiungibile con i mezzi pubblici abbiamo usufruito di una stanza eccellente in uno stabile signorile presumibilmente ristrutturato di recente, molto confortevole, con bagni ben attrezzati, TV, efficiente aria condizionata, personale molto disponibile e professionale. Se necessario è anche a disposizione un salone di intrattenimento con TV (home theater). Solo una piccola pecca: la mancanza di un frigo in stanza.

Alla prenotazione indicavano parcheggio gratuito ma all'arrivo mi hanno detto che il parcheggio non c'era e dovevo parcheggiare fuori dal cancello la mia scelta era anche per il parcheggio... A parte il parcheggio...la camera era nuova e pulita la zona buona e ben servita dai mezzi pubblici
