old but so clean

This motel looks dated on the outside, but the rooms have been remodeled. Full laminate, no carpet, comfortable mattress and everything was oh so clean. I would have given this motel 4 but the breakfast was quite the joke, no juice, coffee only and only cold muffins or cereal so only a 3 rating.
True Old World Ambience in a Town Worth Visiting

We completed a week-long circle road trip out of Atlanta, spending first night in Milledgeville, then on to Savannah, Charleston, last night in Madison, GA before flying out of Atlanta. Milledgeville is a gem of a town. It is a college town with Georgia College campus in the center of the city. The Antebellum Inn is across from the college. Staff were extremely helpful. Our room (Garden Room- kind of a strange name for 2nd floor) was lovely with big picture window overlooking towering oak trees and garden below. Steep steps up to room, so pack light if you take a room on second floor. They offer wine and cheese in late afternoon. Lovely. Breakfast also was probably delicious. They are fairly inflexible in their breakfast times. They state breakfast is at 8:30. We got there 10 minutes late, and our egg dish was cold!! I would think that the Inn could show some flexibility and offer at least an hour window for breakfast, say 8:30-9:30? Overall, lovely pampering experience. Would recommend the Inn, which is walking distance to major historic sites and downtown Milledgeville.
Emerse yourself in the Charm of Milledgeville

My daughter will be attending GCSU in the Fall, and we came into town for a college visit. We had heard the Antebellum Inn was a nice place to stay, so decided to give it a try. We are so glad we did! The house is lovely, very clean and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The home is just a couple blocks from campus and downtown - we were able to walk everywhere.
They offer wine and cheese each evening at 5PM. We were headed out to dinner, so the sweet employee showed me where she would have the cheese plate wrapped up for me in the fridge when we came home. She also told me I could help myself to the wine.
There was only one other guest staying at the Inn, and we barely saw him. My daughter and I truly felt like we had the entire house to ourselves.
The Garden Room was lovely. Tons of window make the room very bright and cheery. We had our own connected bath room, well appointed with soap, shampoo and conditioner. The king bed was so comfortable!!
We woke to the smell of coffee and biscuits in the morning. When we arrived downstairs, the dining room table was set beautifully. Yogurt with granola, breakfast ham, biscuits with yummy jam, eggs and asparagus for breakfast!
We are looking forward to our next stay at the Antebellum Inn!!

Great Location and Comfortable Stay

This was my first bed & breakfast experience, and it was amazing! They were very accommodating upon our arrival and made us feel right at home. The location was great as we walked to events at Georgia College and walked to the downtown area for dining and shopping. We will be back!
