Holiday Inn Express & Suites Milwaukee Airport

Room was clean with updated refrigerator and microwave. Close to the airport and a nice stay for the price. Exercise room and pool area are a welcoming and updated. Parking is free and plentiful, nearby restaurants, gas stations and a Burlington Coat Factory is within walking distance.

A good motel for the price. Practically on top of the airport, so if you are travelling, that is a big plus. Staff was very friendly and efficient. Stayed here for three nights. Very enjoyable ... in particular, the beds are awesome. I slept so well, I wanted to find out what brand they were so I could get one of my own!

My wife and I stayed at the hotel this past weekend. Desk staff was efficient and processed my reservation quickly. In general the stay was typical. They have a small pool and hot tub, small fitness center, laundry, and breakfast area. They offered a happy hour for guests which would be appreciated by travelers. The breakfast consisted of pastries, pancakes, cereal, potatoes, egg white omelets, and bacon or sausage. I belabor the last point because breakfast shapes my day. There were a few areas in need of improvement. The bathroom smelled a bit like dirty mop water, the mattress was not flat so it forced me to sleep in the center of the bed to keep from rolling off, and the hotel design seemed to echo slamming doors late into the evening. These were small items and I would probably stay there again for convenience.

It's an all around good 3 star Hotel. Decent priced. The only thing I'd recommend that this location update is the pool... It's only 4 feet deep at its deepest point (although there is a kiddie pool attached as well as a hot tub) & black substance on the bottom/wall(s) in many areas (which hopefully isn't mold)! If they remodel the pool I'd stay there again when I'm in need of a Hotel near MKE Airport.

I stayed at this hotel for one night. Upon leaving the baggage claim at the airport I called the hotel for a shuttle. It took 30 minutes to arrive. The location of the shuttles is outside and darn cold in Wisconsin winter. I watched shuttles from other hotels pass a couple times before mine finally arrived. Apparently the shuttle is shared by other hotels. The next morning I asked the front desk for a shuttle back to the airport 45 minutes in advance. I waited for 15 minutes after my requested shuttle time before the shuttle arrived. Normally this would't have been bad except the shuttle driver had no record of my request. He was just stopping for a soft drink at the vending machine. According to the shuttle driver, he would not have stopped otherwise and would have just gone to the other hotels on his route. Flying is stressful enough without the added stress of a hotel shuttle. The next day when I got home I contacted the hotel to notify them of the incident. According to the hotel manager, she would check into it and get back to me. She never did. The hotel itself seems new. The room has state-of-the-art amenities. However, if you stay, make sure you ask for room on the top (third floor). The floors and walls are thin. If you get a lower floor room, you may have a "clumper" above you as I did.
