Given the current Covid surges, we planned a little pre-Christmas staycation at a hotel with an indoor pool (rain in the forecast). I got some misinformation and was led to the DoubleTree that had an outdoor pool. When I arrived I was so frustrated and upset. I asked to speak to the Sup, and Ana Fe comes to the counter and in such a professional, empathetic and graceful manner allows me to vent and immediately responds, “you/your family will have a great time here. We have the outdoor pool and it’s nicely heated, we light fires and heat lamps at night, you will love your accommodations and breakfast here - I’ll make sure of it”. It sounded so tempting we stayed and are so glad we did! It was all of that and a freshly baked cookie too! Don’t think twice about staying anywhere else! You will love it…Ms. Fe will see to it!

I didn’t actually get to stay at the Double Tree, I booked room and paid for it through Get a Room and then had to cancel because my wife was sick. I canceled in the required time prior to check in. Then spent 127 days to finally get my money returned via Get a Room. Including them asking me to PROVE my wife was sick. I have those emails. It was a mistake to pay up front and have never dealt with such a lack of professional run company as Get a Room. They were told by the hotel I canceled in enough time yet persistently asked me to prove my wife was sick. Mind you during pandemic, and laws that protect one’s privacy. However the Double Tree staff starting with “ Trey” helped me get the refund albeit 127 days after I canceled. Ana Fe Yohe contacted me and sent numerous emails and forwarded a letter to Get a Room along with confirmation I didn’t need to prove anything to them as I canceled in proper amount of time. I must have asked her to help me 7 or 8 times and not only did she respond to my emails, or calls but did so in an hour or LESS. She was amazing and I’m sure I was not the calmest person as this went on through the holidays and was an $900.00 refund I was owed. Without Ana I don’t get this money back, it was my birthday present as well the trip I had to cancel to go to my home town and see my Padres play. When I do come back to San Diego I will stay at Double Tree Hilton as they proved beyond expectations they will protect and help do what’s right for there customers. In this day in age it’s not easy to find such concern and class as Ana showed me not to mention her professional manner. Thanks again Ana, my wife is very happy and you need to be acknowledged along with Trey. In closing I’ll sleep in my car before I’d book a room through Get a Room . Com. I m from San Francisco came up to pick up a car , that fell through but I found a piece of heaven at Doubletree by Hilton on hotel circle . Nice rooms Great beds And the nicest staff who were top notch professionals Thank you Trey Jeremy in the Seaglass Bar And Christian in maintenance Everyone who answered the phone was exceptional At home I am a job developer and it is very difficult to find and keep quality people in the work I do professionally . The hotel was ok just an overnight stay one of the front desk agents double charged me for parking which in fact I never used took me almost a week to get my money back and the agent seemed as if he didn't really care wasn't a sense of urgency!

Our room smelled like someone had just finished smoking cigarettes or marijuana before it was turned over to us. I opened the balcony sliding door but the smell remained. We were disgusted by the smell.
