Disgusting, unclean, dirty "Canadian govt quarantine" hotel
Reviewed 23 July, 2021
Where to begin. This was an imposed quarantine hotel by the Gov't of Canada, not our choice. Aside from the uselessness of the whole program and the life peril in which the Canadian gov't puts people that just travelled and already had a PCR test done at departure and one at arrival, this hotel location is a pigsty. Aside from the clean entrance, the room is a disaster, and this is supposed to be a 2.5-3* hotel? Well, it is not. After sleeping one night, in the morning, I found several black hairs in my bed. I do not have black hair, I'm a blonde. Upon calling the hotel, they sent the same cleaning person who had black hair to "clean" the bed and leave more black hairs in it. Yes, I found several more long, disgusting ones. She needs to cover her hair with a hair mesh like the cooks and people who handle food wear. Next, when I tried to put some food leftovers in the fridge, the fridge was full of leftover food containers from the previous quarantiners. Imagine the health hazard right there, imagine the health hazard with the black hairs that could be infected, in my bed, imagine that if those things were already in my room, how "clean" this room was and all the others. Imagine what kind of cleaning this hotel does? Not much. I've been in several Marriot properties and this is the most unclean, dirty and disgusting one I have ever been to. I will think again if I should stay in one of their properties EVER, again, based on this experience. What kind of cleaning standards do they have??? The end.

I had a great experience here during the post-flight COVID stay. Amir was especially helpful when I called at the airport and during my stay. I’d recommend for anyone looking for a quick stay near the airport. The room was also large and comfy.
Nothing special for Quarantine

Designated hotel for quarantine, not sure why and how. Hotels are not designed to have isolation rooms. It is a well published fact that Covid is predominantly transmitted by air. Hotel rooms all share the same ventilation system. When gusts arriving from high covid infected countries and mixed with the ones from low infection rates and high vaccination rates, the hotel potentially could be a hot spot for spreading the infection. For that reason we tried to check out as soon as we received negative covid test(24 hrs) We requested refund for the remaining days and rudely denied while other hotels provide refunds. I do not recommend this hotel to any guests as they care more for making money than any guests. Quarantine will end soon but negative guest impressions will remain forever.
If i could give it a zero, I would.

For covid travellers, avoid staying at this hotel for your three day forced confinement. Over a thousand bucks Canadian and you get NO CHOICE for meals dropped at your door, othef than standard or vegetarian. They feed you whatever the hell they decide to feed you and be warned, it will not include beef or pork because, in the words of the manager "some of our guests have religious objections to beef and pork". Meals come with water, no soft drink, no milk. The breakfast includes no warm food. Child size croissant, prepackaged and mushy, muffin, two bites of sugary gooey flour, "nutrigrain bar"-- another dusgusting chunk of fat, sugar, and flour--child size cold cereal, apple, small bottle juice, small carton yogurt. The apple, juice and yogurt were the only edible items. They will NOT reduce your charge if you refuse to accept their food, as i did. It was inedible slop. I have filed a complaint with Marriott corporate. I have been ordering in salads and burgers. Every othet hotel i have seen offers two, three, or more choices for what you can be fed. Its sister hotel nearby, the Sheraton Gateway, offers five or six choices. Prison inmates get fed better food than this garbage. I literally could not eat it. Stay away from this place. Regular room rate is $109, according to my receipt. The daily covid rate surcharge is $200-- essentially, the fee for food and covid security. There is NO security.
Convenient and clean

We stayed overnight before a flight and the hotel was close to terminal 3 which was perfect. It is a fair size hotel with nice amenities...a restaurant and a nice outdoor lounge area to name a few. The hotel has an airport shuttle and it is also connected to an “Element” hotel. Breakfast is not included in the room rate, but there is always Uber eats or the Tim’s just down the road...maybe a 3 minute drive. Very quiet hotel considering the location and it was clean and well appointed with helpful front desk staff.
