This hotel is just sad…. Remote controls don’t work, bathrooms are stark , awful. Television randomly goes out. And yet it’s just as expensive as the Hampton inn, Just down the block. I have stayed at worse hospitals But never asked to pay same price as MUCH better hotels.
Time to sell to someone else this is way below standards

I've stayed at this hotel many years in the past but this is my first return trip in 4 years. I can't believe it has fallen so far I'd have to say I will never, ever return. I had booked a two room suite for 4 nights. I was offered the executive suite if I waited an hour and this was at 5:30 in the afternoon. I was told there was a jacuzzi tub and this was my only reason for agreeing to wait. That night I filled the tub with water and discovered the on-off switch was recessed over an inch the hole. It was designed to be flush. I risked being shocked and stuck my finger in the hole and nothing happened. It was obvious the jets have been broken for years. The bed was worn out. My wife slept sideways and I went to Walmart and bought an air mattress. I asked another customer one morning if his bed was decent and he replied, yes it was just like a hammock his head and feet were almost touching. There was one HBO channel and the television in the outer room was missing that and several more channels. I requested twice for that to be fixed and it was not. The sensor on the elevator did not work so when you stuck your hand or body in front of the closing door you better be ready to move or lose a limb. Breakfast was a joke. The area was closed except for having access to the toaster. One old slow woman was serving up the lousy egg fold overs she called omelets. Come on Holiday Inn this is the worse of the worse breakfast offering. American cheese and zero flavor. If this was on the menu at Jack in the Box nobody would ever order it. There was only one type of bread, white. No bagel, One choice of sweets a poor quality honey bun. My final bill showed $130 in charges for taxes and such and I was told it would be taken off sometime later. This is unacceptable. I had to ask each and every day for a new towel set and each day someone opened the door and placed them on the floor inside a plastic bag. I asked each day for housekeeping to empty the garbage cans and remove the towels from the day before. This never happened the garbage was running over onto the floor and the wet towels were starting to sour as they had been piled up for 4 days. This is the classic example of using the pandemic as an excuse to offer lousy service and hardly any food variety for breakfast. The next morning in a Holiday Inn in Nashville there was all the old breakfast selections and a Jimmy Dean sandwich that wasn't half bad. This hotel needs to be bought out by a lesser brand it doesn't deserve the Holiday Inn name any longer.
Very Disappointing Stay!

On 9-11 April, 2021, I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Cleveland, MS. When I checked in the hotel Friday, the first thing that caught my attention were the carpets appearing dirty and old. On Saturday morning I got up to shower and noticed my shower had no curtain, I had no bath towels, and there was no hot water. Our family had reserved a few rooms that weekend and we all realized none of the rooms had hot water, and most had no bath towels. The staff was professional, and empathetic to my concerns. But I didn't get hot water until Saturday evening. The front clerk apologized for house keeping not correcting my concerns and handed me a stack of towels, and a shower curtain to put up myself. I got to my room and noticed that the clerk had gave me bath mats for the floor instead of bath towels. I never received any bath towels during my 2 night stay in the 2 rooms reserved in my name. I did put up the shower curtain but I don't think it was my responsibility to do that if i am paying for my stay. The Holiday Inn Express in Cleveland, MS is headed for disaster if immediate corrections are not made with the staff and the standard not being enforced.
Outdated. No noise insulation.

The Holiday Inn Express in Cleveland is a good five years outdated and in need of a thorough renovation. Bad yellow lighting, stains on the wall, scratched and damaged furniture, discolored light shades, a small old TV from 2011, and stained carpeting. Every door slams shut. You get the idea. Worst of all, there is ZERO SOUND/NOISE INSULATION. You can hear everything in the hallway, the rooms next door, and outside in the parking lot and highway. This was by far the nosiest hotel I have ever stayed at. Period. Also, the IHG mask policy was not enforced.

Our stay here was great! Kokeiya was the best she went about and beyond to make our stay enjoyable and pleasant. Would recommend this hotel if you have to travel through the area. Areas where clean and sanitized
