Decent accommodation for a decent price
2020-12, Arrived at 7pm on a Friday. The location is easy to find. Parking is open. Mask is required in all public access. The gentlemen in the front desk was professional and polite. Gave us 2 keys that didn't work on our first, 2nd, and fourth nights, but was always fixed right away. Room was spacious and clean. Needs some maintenance and updates. Typical sized shampoo, conditioner, lotion, bath soap bar, handsoap bar, and a make-up remover packet. 4 towel sets. Water pressure is decent. Lots of room in the countertop for our toiletries. An iron and ironing board. Hair dryer. Towels are in the thin side. 2 beds, 1 night stand in between, a luggage rack, a desk with outlets, a lamp that has 2 outlets on top of the desk, 2 chairs, an armoire with a flat screen TV on top, a little fridge, and a microwave, 2 small drawers. Beds were comfortable. Pillows were very flat. I am a side sleeper and woke up with neck pain in the morning. I asked if they have a thicker or firmer pillow, the gal looked and told me that they were all out. I asked again Monday, and front desk said they were all out. Flat screen TV has 1 HDMI input in the back. It has regular channel for kids as well. Breakfast are served via To-go bags and contains 1 muffin (banana-nut, chocolate, or blueberry), a 5.5 fl-oz apple juice, 16.9 fl-oz water, a granola bar. Pool is open until midnight. Pool water is @ room temperature. Hot tub is tiny, none of the bubble nozzles were working, and water was not as clear. Chlorine was eye-irritating Friday night. Caused our eyes to tear because we don't have goggles, but my kids have goggles and they were fine. We went to the pool again on Monday night, the windows were cracked open, and the pool room didn't irritate our eyes at all. All personnel in the front desk were pleasant, which is nice. Have a great vacation!
next door to the best bbq steak house in town!
it was a really nice hotel. quiet and friendly people that we did come in contact with. we just needed a one night stay, because we were on our way to Arkansas for a family wedding. we usually stop around supper time and just by luck they had the best steak house right next door! neither hotel or restaurant was very busy. very pleasant stay <3
CLEAN, POLITE, SAFE, EZ ON/OFF HWY, GAS & FOOD CLOSE BY
We were greeted with a 2 bottles of water welcome bag. Staff were polite. We were upgraded from a King room to a King Suite. Our room # 208 was clean and smelled good. As a precaution I used Lysol wipes and spray on all of the touch surfaces just for peace of mind. The hotel is EZ on/off exit 101 off I-49. Cheap gas at the Pilot station next door. Lots of restaurants on East Austin Ave. In the morning we had a to go bag with muffin, snack bar, juice and water. The lady at the desk (in the morning) gave us a couple extra muffins. I thought that was very nice of her. All in all I would highly recommend you stop at this hotel.
Great hotel, great location, and friendly
We reserved the room in advance of dropping our niece off at Cottey College. The location of Country Inn & Suites is great! Right near I-49, a Travel Center gas station, Burger King, Walmart, and just down the road from McDonald’s, Cottey College, and not too far from the Kansas/Missouri state line. The room was clean and fresh. Zero complaints at all. My only reservation about 4 stars vs 5 is the carpet in the hallways and rooms could use a refresh. Other than than, it’s a great place. Staff is clean and professional.
Terrible
This place is terrible. Our room wasn’t cleaned because they said the dead bolt was locked?!?! ( nobody was in the room) the front desk staff likes lounging on the couch in the lobby and you can’t even tell they’re staff do to the random clothing they are wearing. (Not hotel uniforms). I would not recommend this place to anyone.
