Good value if you don't mind the location.

This is a nice and apparently new hotel with friendly staff. The thing to be aware of is it is in the far south of Moab: so far south it's outside the city limits. This might be good if you plan on driving south (eg. to the Needles district of Canyonlands) but most people who stay in Moab probably want to drive north (to Arches and Island in the Sky). Moab, of course, is not a big place but if your intention is to visit Arches or Island in the Sky, you'll probably find it tedious to drive through downtown Moab twice a day. The other problem I had was that I was directed to park behind the hotel but there's not enough parking there. There's additional parking to the north of the hotel but the door at the north end doesn't work correctly (or at least, it wouldn't open for me).
Value for money isn't there

I always look for value when I’m not staying in more traditional hotels or resorts. Wingate did not provide that. The cost per night is not worth what you get: paper thin walls (I could hear the phone conversations of our neighbors and every door that was opened), the water pressure wasn’t strong and that is a must when hiking all day. I was most disappointed in breakfast, as there were no vegetarian options, minus some bready items. Pork was included in everything, including the eggs. Vegetarian protein options are important especially in a town where everyone is there to hike. There were many travelers with dogs, which I don’t mind but I absolutely mind when travelers bring their dogs into the breakfast area with them. I am proud of the employee who told an entitled guest that her large, drooling dog was not allowed in the breakfast area. Even though the guest was upset (and ended up giving her dog to the manager to pet sit while she made herself some breakfast) Wingate held true to their policy.

Very nice hotel with all amenities. Only a couple minutes from downtown Moab so it was very convenient. Pool and hot tub was still open in mid November although we didn’t use it. Breakfast was fresh as well!
Stay here in Moab!

We have stayed here 5 times in the last year. Usually one of the least expensive hotels in Moab. Always clean, great breakfast options. Pool is large and heated. Front desk and breakfast staff are always friendly. This is our go to hotel for Moab.

We stay at this Wingate Hotel one night while visiting the Arches and Canyonlands. The staff was great! The room was clean and comfortable, with nice decor. The bathroom was great, modern and big. I can't really comment on the breakfast... we wanted to get an early start to our day by being at The Arches National Park by sunrise. The hotel didn't start serving breakfast until 6:30 and we didn't want to wait because we would've ran late. It would be helpful to start breakfast a little earlier since most people staying at the hotel are visiting the National Parks and a lot do like an early start. The hotel is on the other end of Moab but still an easy drive to The Arches. I recommend asking to stay on the back side of the hotel away from the busy road. We stayed on the backside and didn't hear any noise. It was a great stay!
