Great Hotel and Staff

My co-workers and I stayed at The Battle House for three days when we attended a work conference. We had a couple of issues with our reservation and our billing/payment. Josh did a tremendous job sorting out the problem quickly. He is a huge asset to the hotel. In addition our room was huge and very nice. The hotel gym was great as well. We will definitely stay at The Battle House again next year!

The Battlehouse Hotel yes I must if you are staying in Mobile. It is a very elegant upscale hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. We tried out the spa and it was wonderful. Also has several good restaurants. You don’t even have to leave the hotel although there are many good restaurants in walking distance. Valet is great as well.

Overall nice stay - spa appointment added

I booked as a titanium member and used a SNA but that was not awarded as I needed two queens and they evidently only have 3 upgraded suites w/ queens. I had booked a treatment at the spa and went the morning on the check in. After my facial, which I enjoyed w/ Ashley I went to pool which in right outside the spa area; which is on the 8th floor. By the time I got my room assigned and ordered food there was lightening 12 miles away so they had to close the pool. I was still able to go into the spa quiet room and get in the large jacuzzi tub and enjoy another mimosa. I had to eat my food outside of the pool and spa area which was a bit awkward- but the hummus appetizer is really delish! They add olives, roasted peppers, roasted tomatoes - so yummy! I had a nice room overlooking the port - not the prettiest area - but interesting to watch a working port. There was happy hour in the lobby bar - wine and beer specials - they had live music. Went across the street to have another Happy at Dauphins and eventually dinner at Squid Ink. Valet was on point with friendly service and $22. I was disappointed to find that the lounge has closed again - I confirmed it was open a few weeks before making my reservation date. Staffing was the excuse/reason. After disclosing my disappointment they did upgrade my continental breakfast to full buffet and offer me free snacks and drinks, which consisted of candy bars, cookies, granola bar, cokes and water - I loaded up and made my way to the room. The fridge was really cold - froze some of cokes even! The bathroom was large - a few lights didn't work, make up mirror included. The beds were great and I slept well. I will come back and I hope all the amenities are available and the storms stay away. (the pool was closed the following day too due to lightening!). There is plenty walking distance - but, know your surroundings!!

Good Hotel but Spotty Service
Reviewed 4 july, 2022
Stayed here three nights in April 2022. The hotel has an interesting history, the lobby is beautiful, and the location in downtown Mobile cannot be beat. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the outdoor rooftop terrace was refreshing at the close of a warm day. The breakfast buffet was solid if not extravagant. The only issues were with service. The valet service was slow and ranged from inattentive to hostile when responding to requests for our car. When I complained to the front desk, I was basically met with a shrug and a comment that because the valet attendants are contractors the hotel has no control over them. The staff person then basically said I shouldn't even complain because there was nothing she could do and I should just suck it up. She said the valet supervisor would follow up with me, and three months later, I'm still waiting for that phone call. Overall, it's a nice hotel, but the valet attendants are terrible, and the front desk staff was brusque and a bit unprofessional.

Single Night Stay in Mobile

My family stopped here and spent the night prior to heading to Florida for vacation. We loved this hotel. The rooms were nice, the amenities were good, the service was top notch, and the location was ideal. We enjoyed this downtown area and the restaurants were plentiful. We would definitely stay here again.
