LOVELY RE-FURBISHMENT
we spent a lovely staycation weekend at the HDP - the refurbishment is exquisite - due to covid restrictions we had room service which was pleasant surprise as much better than the usual room service fare . All in all staff couldnt be more helpful. loved the new looks rooms. zero complaints and look forward to stay again when the world returns to normal.
RUSSIAN ART
Spectacular luxurious hotel in the best location! This is a beautiful hotel located right next to the Monte-Carlo casino square. The room was luxurious with a balcony with views of the bay and sea. There is a rooftop pool however children are not allowed to use this. There is a separate family area in the basement with a pool which was thoroughly enjoyed by my daughter.
Bumpy Start but otherwise outstanding
When we arrived we did have a bit of a bumpy start upon check in, Reception was super busy which we understood but the lady at check in was not really welcoming. Laura the FO Duty Manager has rectified the situation quickly and swiftly, hence why I think it still deserves 5 stars. The rest of our stay was flawless. The barman we had was not the most friendly either but he might have had a bad day. All in all super good experience

Expensive, but worth it
We have spent 2 months on the Côte d’Azur going from town to town, enjoying the re-awakening of the riviera after the lockdown. During this period, we have seen around 20 of the best hotels in the Provence-Alpes-Côte. The Hotel de Paris in Monaco is really something. From the cars out front, to the newly renovated rooms, everything is top-of-the-line. It was the most expensive hotel in our trip (i guess around twice as much as the others), but boy, it was worth it. They provided us with an upgrade to a “partial sea view” room, bright, spacious, newly renovated. The staff were genuinely friendly. Our only grudge: the restaurant “The Grill” is not worth a star. It is a perfectly fine place to go for lunch or dinner, with perfectly acceptable food, but not Michelin-star-worthy in my view.
