Misleading Trickery from Wedding Department

My fiance and I had been to Jamaica many before and decided on Sandals because of their amazing wedding packages. We began conversations with the Wedding department in November, and since I work in hospitality I had done plenty of research and asked many questions on calls and emails. After COVID, many protocols changed so i wanted to be sure I had all the information possible, to then proceed with booking and paying for their "Test Drive" experience to seal the deal and finally begin planning my wedding. We paid for airfare and the $250 per night for our test drive, and I am extremely busy at work so I really wanted to utilize my PTO to get the most knowledge and planning done on this trip, as is it's purpose for both the resort and the couple. Once we got there, we did the full day of tours of spaces that can accommodate us and our group size - which is large. We initially were thinking 100-150, and noted on our calls that it may go as high as 200, but 150 was a safe bet. We saw all the spaces with the tour guides who told us how we could arrange the reception tables to fit our group, restaurants that could seat that amount, tent structures for parties of our size, etc. We get back to their office to pick out the florals, table cloths, etc. and as soon as we sit down, the wedding coordinator leaves the room and comes back and tells us that due to COVID (that began 2 years ago) they can no longer accommodate a group of our size, and any given space on their property could sit is 80 people!! They tried to tell is that our ceremony and reception could possibly fit up to 120 if everyone stood the entire time, but that is insane. I dont know who can stand that long, see me and my fiance getting married over a crowd of 120 people, and also....we were low estimating 150. This was extremely misleading and the wedding team just wanted our money to get on site and hopefully cut our party size in half. Completely absurd! I have everything in email chains, and i was very clear from the beginning. Since we departed on Sunday, not one employee has helped me or responded to me. I called the number, and they told me only the wedding team could give me a refund. I spoke to the wedding team, and they told me because this is post stay and if i do not want to have my wedding there, i have to email customer service. I have emailed them 3 days in a row with zero response. DO NOT HAVE YOUR WEDDING HERE, or even waste your time speaking to this resort if you have a large party. They will mislead you throughout the entire booking process and property tour. oh, and the entire trip I tried ordering room service 3 times and no one picked up the phone any time i tried to order. I am now back at square one trying to find a venue and destination that resonates with us, and was completely heartbroken after hearing this news. If anyone from this resorts cares about customer service, i would appreciate a response.

Resort is a bit dated compared to other sandals resorts Staff was nice. Butlers were great. There is basically no entertainment at night. All the stuff they used to have basically stopped. A pool party is about it. Nothing at night. No live entertainment. I assume blamed on COVID.

This was our 15th time back to SRC, taking into consideration the pandemic it was not what we expected. Service was below par and the servers were slow and either rude or very disrespectful. Food in most restaurants was below their normal standards, Food was tasteless, cold and very inconsistent. The only thing that made our trip worthwhile was our two amazing butlers who always went above and beyond. Duwayne and Rayo we thank you for your service and you both always tried to iron out the glitches and problems. The only reason we will return is because of the some of the staff that went out of their way to make our trip memorable. Dawn Smith the GM is always there to make sure things are running smoothly . Kaye the loyalty management is also one of the best she's always checking in on her guests to make sure things are going smoothly .

Another Stellar Royal Vacation

There are many reasons my husband and I continue to come back to Sandals Royal Caribbean in Jamaica. Excellent service, dining, ambience and overall experience cannot be beat. Like many, we had to forego our trip in 2021 due to COVID restrictions. But this year we were happy to be back and to see many improvements on the property. New restaurants, new accommodations in place of the old tennis courts, and many refreshed rooms. The reason we spend the money for the trip is to relax and Sandals employees deliver every time. From poolside service and room service to table service in the restaurants and Club Sandals concierge service, if we had a request all we had to do was ask and it was granted. The Sandals customer service brand is lived by every employee and we are so thankful to them all. Special thanks to these wonderful folks who wnet above and beyond to make our vacation extra special: Cici and Kim in Club Sandals, Carissa and Tracy Ann at poolside, Davroy in Jardinere, Kawayne our island cabana concierge, and Patring our couples dinner server. Stop thinking about taking this trip - book it! You will be so glad you did!

My husband and I just returned from an amazing honeymoon at Sandals Royal Caribbean. We can NOT express enough how perfect this vacation was. First, if you are considering the Over the Water Bungalows, GO FOR IT! We were blown away! From the second we stepped off the plane everyone greeted us and were extra welcoming when they heard it was our first time in Jamaica. Upon arrival at the resort, we got a tour and were overwhelmed with the stock of drink options in our room - water, juice, soda, coffee, tea, beer, rum, vodka, gin, wine, and champagne. At first, the butler service felt a little uncomfortable but we quickly adapted. We were pleasantly surprised daily by handcrafted cocktails brought to our door at noon (without even asking), delightful afternoon snacks, in-room food service (better than the hotel room-service you are thinking of), and being greeted outside our door with drinks as we were escorted to the restaurant. After dinner we would find mini desserts and sometimes a bubble bath waiting in the oversized, ceiling-less, star-gazing tub. If you have the opportunity to request a butler, pick Zoe and Jazzy (who strictly serve at the bungalows or villas) and tell them "Wah Gwaan"! They both helped make our trip more than what we could have imagined. Other amazing people we met and hope to see next time include: Errol (bartender), Glennton (overnight island chef), Simone (ferry captain), Garfield (server), Mikis (giftshop/tie-dyes), Winsome (gift shop), and Rosan (housekeeping) and so many more. Everyone we encountered made us feel like friends. By the end of our seven night stay, we felt like we knew half the island. Everyone was so cheery and wanted to make sure you were having the best time. The employees were constantly walking around singing or dancing and just happy to be alive. We will definitely be back!
