I had a great experience with Cynthia amd Guena. They were very friendly, and even with masks on I could tell they were smiling. I had questions about parking, and even listening to them speak to the people In front of me, they had a friendly tone and they were very helpful. I suggest having a conversation with whoever was working after 11 PM on December 16th. I was having issues with my credit card and couldn’t pay for the whole reservation, I asked if I couldn’t pay for the night, and then pay for the rest the next day after calling the bank. Their response to me was “you reserved 5 days, I have to charge you the 5 days. I don’t know what you want me to do.” They we’re not helpful, there was no compassion, and it seemed like I was disturbing them.

Excellent customer service in quaint hotel

The hotel room was clean and comfortable. We were particularly grateful for the service provided to us by the staff. After a minor complication with our reservation, Eileen and Kuzima were fantastic in resolving the issue. Breakfast was provided, which wasn’t expected, given current COVID restrictions. Great location within easy walk of Mount Royal, downtown, museums and galleries.

Basic Experiences!!

On an extended stay at this hotel, I had bad experiences.. On One occasion I requested toilet paper and was given a roll drenched in urine. The power went off in my room several times , They said it was the fuse box sometime but why would it go off at 3am? Some of the male staff there are creepy. Found spiders in the room. There are no screens on the windows. The internet is super slow. The toilet flushed very slowly. It's an antigue. Hard to believe this is a 4 star hotel.

The location is ideal. Close to Guy Concordia metro. It is also a beautiful street and hotel. Clean. Shared with a friend and it was quite reasonable. I recommend booking this if you like staying in a clean place

Surprising, Spooky, and Sumptuous

Need for a last minute extra night's stay in Montreal led to a first stay at this property. I knew the location was ideal (on Sherbrooke Street, in the museum/university area) but had previously skimmed over the property because a) it has no elevator, and lots of steps, and b) the price hadn't seemed competitive. Covid seems to have changed all that. Taking a deep breath, I checked into the sister property across the road, as per instructions. I already knew there would be no buffet breakfast or food or any kind, and it was explained to me that there would be NO STAFF in the building overnight...unsettling, to say the least.. It was late and I was tired. The concierge at the sister hotel sweetly gave me a free upgrade (which I now know is a king suite!) I was blown away by the beauty of my suite: fireplace, chandelier, tall ceiling, giant king bed. It was lovely ! I slept undisturbed, and was relieved to meet a concierge at the reception when I was up and about the next day. She was very helpful re airport transport and nearby breakfast places. If nothing about any of the above is unsettling, then I say check this location out. The rate is reasonable, and the location ideal. I will definitely go back !
