Avoid at all chances - Hotel Chrome should be investigated by industry officials

I have travelled world wide and I have never been treated with so much coldness as the staff of this hotel shows.
Let's start at the reservation time, I reserved through Booking.com and so far so good. I followed up with a call to the hotel to verify that the reservation was ok and to request if possible that I could reserve a parking spot in the hotel as I am a frequent visitor of Montreal and I am aware of the lack of parking. The response was great: yes sir, we will make sure we have a parking reserved for you will you are staying with us.
Confident that all would be ok, my family and I show up at the hotel at the 4 PM checking time and go to register just to find out that our room is not available. I ask the person at reception on how to enter the parking garage as my car was sitting with parking lights in a short stay parking area adjacent to the hotel. I am now informed that the parking facility is full and that no notes were on the reservation about my request.
I advise and show him the reservation made through Booking.com where I made the request in writing and was told that they don't have the time to look at silly things like that. I ask how can they reserve customers like that and not hold the requests and I was told that it was my fault for not booking direct with the hotel and using a cheap booking system.
It took almost an hour and 45 minutes before we got our room and now after putting our luggage in the small and diminutive space they call a room, I had to go to park my car 4 blocks at the underground parking of a local hospital to guarantee that the car would be safe.
Upon returning I went to the reception again to ask for extra towel as there were 4 of us and only 2 towels were available in the room. I was told that they did not have more towels at the moment and that normally they don't supply more that the allocated for the room.
the following morning we get up and try to get breakfast at the hotel, just to find out that the restaurant only operates on weekends. So now I had to walk 4 blocks to get the car and drive to get breakfast. I had to be on a conference call later on and when I attempted to connect my room only got two bars of signal so I had to connect through tethering on my mobile phone to be able to work. By the way the supposed business Centre advertised has been shot down for a year due to Covid-19.
Went out to lunch and requested for the room to be done and new towels to be placed in the room and when we showed up in the evening nothing of the sort happened. I went down to the reception again and found that there were no towels available again and that the rule of the hotel is that since they don't go into the rooms due to the pandemic then you are supposed to use the same towels all your stay.
This experience was truly a horrific ordeal that I would not wish on my worst enemy.
I will make sure that the Quebec Tourist authorities are aware of the awful reputation outfits like this give the province. By the way, while we were waiting for our room at checking time, five international travelers came in and left as they received a worst treatment that I got.
Sorry I almost forgot to mention sleeping is almost a challenge as the air condition / heater in the room sounds like a train leaving the station all night and day. bring ear plugs or headphone to use all night
Rough around the edges but I’ve been in way worse.

To start, the man at the desk was very cordial, but we had to park 4 or 5 blocks away. Unfortunately, they were out of parking spots. Not a big deal for us. It is a pretty good location to where we wanted to be.
If I was the manager, I would probably have the staff vacuum the hallways more. It seems like that is not a priority. Again, not that big of a deal.
We came back after dinner and there was water on the floor. The mini fridge leaked a bit. Got a towel from the cleaners cart in the hallway and cleaned it up. Not really a big deal. The only thing that kind of bothered me was the broken light switch in the bathroom. It would be a 3 minute fix. This was night 1 of 3. So far this is worth the price.
Let’s see what tomorrow brings.
I would recommend this place for someone on a budget.
Not bad at all

Not sure why so much negativity
Yes, hotel shows some wear, but its quite clean and the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Perfect location as central to everything needed. We walked the whole weekend.
Terrible Service, Rude Staff. Nightmare

This place is a disaster. We checked in around 7pm on a saturday and went up to out room to find the floor completely soaking wet under the carpet. As we walked to our room we could see the water stains and you could hear the water squishing under our feet. As we got into our room the first thing we noticed was the room WAS NOTHING like the picture or the description of the room. We booked the "executive suite" which is what it was called on the website, it claimed to have two rooms with french doors separating them and beautiful view outside. Well let me tell you, it was just one room with no doors and our lovely view was of a dark alley and a brick wall. We took the sheets off and found so much hair in our beds it was disgusting. Our shower was still dirty all over the floor so we couldnt even shower when we got in. We went down to ask the reception if maybe there was a mistake and we were in the wrong room. The reception refused to give us their name and told us in the moring the supervisor would refund us. We went down the next morning to find the supervisor even worse help than the staff before. He pretty much laughed at us when we asked for our money back, and when we told him what the issue was, his exact words were "well this is a three star hotel, what do you except?" and laughed at us. We asked for a manager and he couldnt provide us with a number or any name for the manager. After talked for 10-15 minutes, we asked for a refund and he said it would not be possible as we already checked in and spent the night (we booked for 4 days and three nights and they wouldnt refund ANY of the days). After the supervisor refused to refund us, i asked them for their return policy. His response to this was "well we actually dont have a return policy" to which i asked for our money back as we didnt sign any agreement. He then changed his statement to say he didnt have the refund policy "on paper" and continued to refuse to show the refund policy. Just complete disrespect for their customers. They got their money and thats all they cared about, not to mention when we went down to ask about the room, there was another couple in front of us who stated their bed was covered in blood and they would not send up anyone to check. We all checked out the next day and didnt look back. PLEASE DO NOT BOOK HERE! THEY ARE FALSELY ADVERTISING THEIR ROOMS AND SERVICES. The rooms smell like complete ass and they look like theyre all about to fall apart.
Disappointing at best

Paid way too much to stay at this hotel considering what we received.
The second night of our stay our television stopped working. We had been out all day at a festival and we were exhausted - all we wanted to do was chill and watch a movie. We called down to the front desk around 9pm to see if anyone could fix it - were told they would be sending a technician shortly. After about an hour no one had come so we decided to walk our dog and check in again at the front desk on the way back. We were told that a technician had already been to the room and the issue was resolved (we were pleasantly surprised and figured the tech came while we were out on the walk). Once we got back to the room we saw immediately no one had come and the tv was still not working. I called the front desk again to let them know it was not fixed, and the same young man who "helped" me before basically sighed into the phone and sounded very irritated with me - tried to tell me it was a simple fix so I asked him to walk me through it. What he suggested didn't work (which I knew it wouldn't because at this point we had tried everything to get this television working before we even called front desk in the first place) so he then says he will send another tech - obviously no one ever came just like the first time.
Next day we go to check out and the first question we are asked is not how we enjoyed our stay, but rather was everything ok with our dog and did the dog pee in the room? No our dog did not pee in the room - she's very well house trained (btw we paid around $35 a night for the dog to stay in the room - which brought our room charge per night to around $300 Canadian).
I told the supervisor (the one who asked if our dog peed in the room) about the tv issue while we were checking out and he checked the maintenance log - our issue was logged but no signature to say it was followed up with or anyone was ever sent. He then told me he could offer no compensation as we paid for the room beforehand.
I understand Montreal is an expensive city and this is not a luxury hotel, but this hotel has very poor service. Will not be staying here ever again and would absolutely not recommend this hotel to anyone planning on visiting Montreal (which is the best city!!).
