We love this hotel, we were going to stay this year but they never opened or answered any of my calls or emails. we would like to start planning next year and if Elbow isn't open we will go else where , this is not good for Bermuda while tourism is down.

Trip was cancelled due to COVID in 2020. I had an $850.00 deposit to be refunded, as it was cancelled well in advance of my September 2020 arrival (cancelled in April 2020). I have tried to contact the hotel numerous times (still trying). They have yet to respond.
Failed to refund room deposit after timely cancellation

Like a couple of other reviewers, we ran into this property failing to refund the room deposit or respond to inquiries by e-mail or phone about it while closed for COVID, even after we canceled months in advance of our planned stay. Calling the property, staff said they could only take new reservations, but not address refunds. We would love to re-plan the same kind of trip for after COVID, but don't see how we could do business with this property. I was able to get a refund only after initiating a credit card dispute and waiting quite a long time. If you still want to book here, don't do it with any deposit.

We went for the pink sand, and unfortunately, the pictures look like they have been photo shopped. It is a little out of the way, so we were disappointed to get there, only to see the sand look like every other beige beach on the island. That said the sand is soft, water gorgeous, etc. I just gave it a low review, as I think it is falsely advertised. If you could hit one beach, make it Horseshoe Bay.
Vacation Cancellation Nightmare

We had booked our annual vacation for this September, 2020. Hotel is closed until 12/31/21 (as per the travel advisory posted by the Bermuda Govt.) Requested a cancellation in July and got a response from the hotel that our vacation was cancelled. However. We also requested a refund for our deposit that was paid in February of this year in the amount of $850.00 for two nights of lodging. Hotel policy states in order to get your deposit refunded it has to be cancelled 2 weeks in advance.(We cancelled three months in advance.) The hotel web site states they are opening the Hotel on August 31,2020. This contradicts what the Bermuda Govt. has posted for travelers to Elbow. Re sent our request for our refund but as of yet, no reply. Be cautious about the booking discrepancy when considering a vacation that most likely will not happen until 2022.
