Horrible hotel with no microwave, bad internet and worst front desk receptionist !!!

We lived in comfort inn mount Poconos 3189 PA-940, mount Pocono, PA 18344. Our stay was for two nights from 28th august to 30th august. This has been the worst experience ever. The hotel is below average but horrible experience with the front desk employees. Never ever have I ever experienced such a horrific service all my life of traveling and living in choice hotels for so many years.
We had returned after a long day and our keys had stopped working. So I went to the front desk from the third floor where in a corner was my room allotted. My son was in a hurry to use the restroom. When I went and stood in front of the front desk there was no one there. After standing there for a minute or two. I asked the lady sitting in the dining area if there is somebody at the front desk who was eating her food and watching tv. The lady’s name was Brenda Lee. She told me that I am eating my food and I’ll be there in a minute and she went back to eating her food. After some time she came and asked what’s the problem and I told her that my keys to the room are not working. I had kept all my stuff on the front desk counter. And when she came to the behind the front desk I slid the cards towards her. But she started saying rudely that I had my hand out you could have given it to me in my hand, why did you slide the card towards me when I put my hand out. I did not see her hand reaching for the cards. Also during times of Covid I have not been giving the key, always keep distance and I always politely slide it towards the front desk receptionist.
And I also mention to her that why are you creating a scene. She took the keys and after activating my keys she threw the key towards me. At that point of time my wife mentioned to her why would you do that and she said oh now you’re feeling bad about it. I tried to explain to her that I had never thrown the keys to her. She was adamant and spoke very rudely after that point of time. And had the audacity of saying ok now just leave I have you the keys just go. After this she doesn’t stop she humiliated us talking about us to other guest coming in and saying they have messed with the wrong person. When we told her to stop creating a scene she shouts out saying, SHUT UP .. F*** OFF… I was shocked. This was told in front of my 12year old and all this was on my BIRTHDAY!!! What a worse day of ending my birthday which I will never forget.
I am going to make sure I let everyone know how horrible my experience has been.
We usually love choice hotels

We’ve been customers for choice hotels for years. We booked our stay for my sisters wedding nearby months earlier. Yet when we were checking in right around 3 pm their check in time we were told our room was not ready. They were understaffed and had as many people cleaning rooms as possible. I can understand that but I was so worried we had to be about a half hour away at Skytop Lodge for rehearsal practice at 5 and we needed to unload and shower. When we finally were told our room was ready I saw my sisters welcome bags behind the counter. She made advanced plans to have them in rooms or handed to guests when they arrived. I felt sorry for the worker, Shirley, who checked us in she was so nice, apologizing for circumstances that were beyond her control and dealing with bad attitudes from other customers. I mentioned the bags as we waited for the computer. I said I would rather get them later tonight after I get back. The line behind me might get upset with her and I. Also I felt it was unfair to hold up the others behind me. We got to our room, unloaded our perishables to the fridge, changed and had no time for a shower. We drove all day, hiked at Hickory Run park nearby and really wanted to fresh for such a special event. But we were already late holding up the practice. It turned out we did need the welcome bags since they included our schedule and where different events were taking place at the venue she was having the rehearsal and dinner.
The hotel room itself was good. The AC unit was very high on the wall and I would’ve had trouble reaching it if I needed to adjust it. Despite the late check in due to the rooms not being ready ours was clean and looked like any other room I’ve stayed in at other hotels. The rest of our stay was fine and the staff friendly.
Please... Do Better, we want to come back.

My husband children and I stayed at the Mount Pocono location for some rest & to take care of some personal business while on our stay (possible relocation after a trying year of Covid). And although there are Many unexpected disappointments at our stay at this particular Comfort suites~ the *Customer service is EXTRAORDINARY.
I will add that my husband and I plan to return solely because of **ROSA. She is an invaluable asset to this and ANY location and they are Blessed to have her.
An appreciation of thanks to the *assistant General manager as well as the evening front desk clerk (the gentleman, we forget his name). But the customer service~ is what saved this stay.
(Our children also enjoyed the swimming pool & bunk bed suite).
Now~ onto the list:
The wifi. It was nonexistent. My husband and both children are extremely tech savvy and despite All efforts could not get it to work.
*The 2nd television (in *childrens space!) was not programmed. Both remotes worked for the main television. No one came to rectify the issue.
*The housekeeping did the best they could (with apparent short staff) however they missed the toilet. Thankfully there was a dollar tree across the road, I just gathered cleaning supplies and took care of it myself.
*The towels & bath accessories were not in the room. We had to request them.
*1 already used toilet paper roll & no additional, I was going to ask for another but by then we were already leaving (would've been nice to have the option If needed if you catch my drift).
*No dial tone on the Room telephone.
*What happened to Actual 'breakfast' even if 'On the Go?' Extremely scarce selection. We just opted for a nearby eatery (& I always bring food so we had breakfast sandwiches *with meat selections in our suite).
*Speaking of the suite... what happened to the rest of the furniture??? No table & chair in the corner of the room? ALL hotel rooms (even the most minimal of places) have a coffee table with a lounge chair or at minimal a corner chair... there was just an empty space!
.... at the conclusion of the matter, as my husband stated "if we paid for it and we did it should be here and Working." And it wasn't." The staff on duty accommodated us as best as possible (even including a little welcome bag for guests). That was a nice touch.
Again~ the STAFF saved this place.

Quiet, comfy beds, fair price. A little outdated but good stay, convenient restaurant attached. Clean sheets , pet friendly, close to the beautiful hickory run state park but you will need a whole day or more to explore that

The location was great. The lobby was very nice looking. Staff was friendly. At first glance the room looked pretty good as the rug didn't look too bad. The beds were comfortable and appeared very clean. Wi-fi was good. However there was lots to complain about. No microwave in the room. The mirror looked like it was cleaned with furniture polish instead of glass cleaner, only one chair in the room, air conditioner placed very high on the wall and the fridge didn't seem cold enough. The toilet looked clean - the entire toilet. However, the bathroom does not have an exhaust fan. Paint peeling, the showerhead needs to be cleaned or replaced, the amount of towels is not enough and the side of the tub (outside) had splatter that looked like blood. Breakfast - smh. Bare bones breakfast.
