Completely redone winter 2020

Competitive summer rates. Great area for me as I don't miss workouts with access to bridge and running trails and also a short drive to Sullivan's Island. Rooms are new and fresh and the AC works great for the Charleston area humidity. For a couple of nights it's great, I loved having fridge, microwave and dishes/dishwasher for breakfast and take out meals to enjoy after work. I would stay here again just because it's so new and fresh. Cons: Not enough parking, so most days I parked across street. If you have dually truck, a trailer, large van or motorhome you will be across street too. Ice machine in fridge didn't work. They do not have floor ice machines so be ready to go across street again or buy ice down street at gas station. Pool was not open. If it was open, it's about size of a large hot tub. Walls are thin. If you can sleep to hallway noises, or kids stomping above you, bring ear plugs or find a app on your phone for white noise.

Convenient location in Charleston area

The hotel location is excellent, 15 minutes or less from many Charleston and Mount Pleasant area attractions and shopping. Front desk staff was consistently friendly. The property is also dog friendly. Our room was a queen suite - very small but clean and comfortable with a full size fridge and microwave. The hotel could use more parking, we had to park across the street most evenings.

A very, very basic, low end motel...avoid at all costs!

Without sounding arrogant, I will preface my review with the disclaimer that this is not the type of hotel I would normally frequent... On the plus side, there was vey nice front desk clerk (Denise?)-she was the only positive of the stay. The rooms have an unpleasant odor, perhaps due to the number of guests that have pets with them in the rooms-the hallway carpets are stained, the noise level of other guests is high due to limited soundproofing, there is very little parking, and what parking is available is taken by the many large trucks of construction workers working in the area. Zero customer service at the front desk. A place to avoid unless all other options are taken.

good choice in Mt Pleasant

Good location, had not tried Candlewood suites and was pleasantly surprised, this hotel is new and very clean, nice beds and linens, overall well done. Nice kitchen with full sized refrigerator w/ice maker. No breakfast but did provide complimentary coffee. Unfortunately I left something but they were happy to send it to me, so Thanks for that, Debbie! I would stay absolutely here again.

Terrible Customer Service

We had a reservation for a two bedroom room that was booked in October 2019 for July 18-20. We come into town and call on the 18th to see if our room was available for check in and they couldn’t find our reservation. When we have them the confirmation number we were told that they didn’t have any two bedroom rooms because of renovation and they only had a room with one queen bed, which wouldn’t work for us. We had to scramble to find another place that would fit us and luckily we did. There was no apology given and they acted like they didn’t care about us at all. We have stayed here now every year but that changes now. Such a shame. The least they could have done was call a few weeks before to tell us that room wouldn’t be available for us and then we could have planned otherwise. We ended up having to pay $159 more to stay at the other place. Ridiculous!
