Motel was clean not bad for price , ihop next door , my problem is at checkout rang bell twice an no answer so i went to eat at i hop an when i turn corner the employees was outside talking an having a cigarettes. An also during the time i was there in march chilly on bed was just a sheet an light bedspread . Heat was on but didnt feel it. Let me mention when i check in receptionist was young lady very friendly. Made me feel comfortable. Enjoy conversation with her.

We stayed here on the way back from a Penn State night game. The people are nice and the lobby has a friendly vibe but our room was very basic and did not appear to be vacuumed. Has not been renovated in quite some time.

What a plesant surprise

Stopped here on my way to State College. This Econo Lodge was a perfect place to stay for the night. It is a quick hop off the highway and very easy to find. It was well lit with easy parking. The lady at the desk could not have been better. Friendly, helpful and when I said I was alone made sure I had an inside room. I originally asked for the back but she said that it is sometimes noisy because of the trucks so gave me a front facing room. As for the room, it was terrific. New manufactured hardwood floors, granite counter tops in the bathroom and a bed that was more comfortable than my bed at home. My only wish was an extra blanket or quilt but the room was warm and it did not really need it. Morning staff was just a nice. I would stay here again and recommend it without hesitation.

We had a simple room on the first floor. Interesting and convenient that there was a door facing the inside corridor and also a door on the outside facing the parking lot. It was convenient to be able to get to the car and also get ice or something from different doors. Room was mostly clean but we did find a very long hair that was definitely not one of ours. Would have been nice to have the room properly vacuumed. The TV screen was tiny, made for difficult viewing from even lying in bed, but the beds were comfortable and no issues there. Got a coupon for breakfast at JPs next door (great restaurant). If you have business in Mifflintown or you're passing through and looking for a place to rest ( we were doing the latter), this is a pretty good Hotel.

Several Problems

I used my reward points and booked a room with a hot tub. First, let me say I'm not a hot tub user and there were no directions so I could not enjoy it. There are no elevators so if you can't walk up steps, ask for a ground floor room with an outside entrance. The toilet in the room did not flush correctly and the worse thing was the 2 long dark hairs on one of the pillowcases- clear evidence the bedding was not completely changed- I ended up using a towel. And there is no coffeemaker and no breakfast- just a small voucher for the restaurant next-door. Unless I absolutely need to stay in that location with no other lodging I would not stay there again.
