Disgusting! I would rate 0 but no option for that.

This hotel is disgusting. Do not stay. The pool has been closed for a year, which they don’t tell you. The hotel is dirty. I will post a picture of the pull out couch mattress that my 8 year old granddaughter was supposed to sleep on. There were 4 adults. 4 kids with 2 kids being babies. Booked for 2 nights but cancelled 2nd night about an hour into stay. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

This is nothing short of an unsafe hotel in an unsafe neighborhood. Came for a business trip on a one night stay. Stayed in the room for about an hour before booking down the street to another property. Again, unsafe neighborhood at night…did not care. At first the manager on duty was only going to give me half of my money back, and I told her that was totally unacceptable. After asking nicely, she refunded the entire amount. Sidenote, I believe that the linens are not washed regularly. The final straw was the hairs on the wrinkled pillows….or maybe the roaches. Stay away.

Gross and dirty

I stay at a lot of Holiday Inn Express locations and just don't post a lot of reviews unless they are exceptionally good or bad. This one takes the cake for the bad so far this year. My room had a huge stain on the carpet just inside the door. First impression: i should have listened. The sleeper sofa had cushions that were sunk into it so far that when I sat down, I was sitting on the frame of the sofa. There was a breakfast bar type area with 2 tall chairs in the room to separate the bathroom/microwave area from the bedroom. The tall chairs were sticky to the touch. When I pulled my hand away from one, it was brown. I don't even want to know, but I washed my hands well after that. I didn't use the microwave, but I put my waters and food into the mini fridge. It didn't have a freezer compartment, but in the morning, my things were all frozen solid. The bathroom was small and had a cheap fiberglass tub liner (last weekend's Holiday Inn Express in Columbus, OH had a large, beautiful new bathroom). The bathroom didn't have individual shampoo and conditioner bottles out--they had bottles that were permanently installed in the tub area (and which didn't smell good to me). Usually H I. E. locations have individual-sized Dove products, which I love. Also, the hair dryer bag was there, but the hair dryer was missing. So I had wet hair after my shower. Breakfast in the morning had cinnamon rolls, a pancake maker, scrambled eggs, biscuits, what i assume were grits, and cereals. Also bagels, apples, and yogurt. No breakfast meats. No bread for toast. No bananas. Most people were grabbing coffee. I grabbed juice and called it a day. The elevator moved slowly and had rotting pieces of wood trim around the bottom. It got me where I needed to go, but it was sketchy with the sounds it was making. During my stay, the pool was closed, which wasn't a big deal to me, but will hopefully mean a nice, new renovated pool later.

Stayed at this location on a cross country car trip with my family. Staff was nice, but we were informed that the ice machine on our floor wasn't working. No big deal. Got to the room and when we opened the pull-out bed it didn't have any sheets. No problem, the staff at the front desk gave us a set. However, when we unfolded the comforter, it was stained with what appeared to me to be blood. The front desk was very apologetic and gave us a new comforter. The beds were comfortable, and we slept well. In the light of day, however, we found that the curtains and sheers were also stained with what appeared to me to be blood. Additionally, the bathroom sink had a crusty ring around the drain and there was a dried spot of i-don't-want-to-know on the bathroom floor about the size of a half dollar and the bathroom smelled like someone was smoking weed in it. Also, the smoke detector and what I imagine was a carbon-monoxide detector were hanging from the walls by their wires. All around the establishment there were signs posted touting their "commitment to cleanliness". I think they need to look up what "cleanliness" means. After taxes, we paid about $200 to stay in a hotel with no ice on the floor, blood stains on bedding and curtains, dried crud in the bathroom, possibly inoperative safety equipment and oh yeah...the pool has apparently been closed for about a year. I was pretty grossed out by the stay and as a result, Holiday Inn Express has moved to the bottom of my list of places to stay. I wrote a virtually identical review on the hotel's website three days ago and haven't gotten any notification that they posted it. To end on a high note, the breakfast was actually pretty good, and the staff was friendly.

I stay a lot of Holiday Inn Express Hotels. This one it’s not up to Holiday Inn standards. The room was filthy the carpets are filthy there are bugs in the room. The bathroom is disgusting. Several of the outlets don’t work in the room. The air conditioning in the room is. musty. The exterior looks like a recently built hotel but this one is worn out and needs a 100% overhaul
