Great Location, Room like new
Reviewed 19 may, 2021
Traveling towards Salt Lake City every hotel I called was booked up on a Friday night. Well we lucked out with this one. Nadia was very helpful in getting us two rooms next to each other for our party of 5. The rooms were like new, clean, comfortable and quiet. The location is perfect, right off the freeway and there is a Costco and other servies within a few blocks. We would stay there again when traveling through Utah.

I spend more time in hotels than I do in my own home. I have seen the best and worst. This hotel is honestly hands down one of the best. Pros: Location, clean...I mean unbelievably clean. Didn't even find one rogue hair in anywhere. You know what I'm taking about. Huge walk in shower. High shower head. Quiet. Super comfortable beds. Great coffee. Staff. They were out of water to sell and the woman behind the counter actually GAVE me her own stash. Who does that? Also, great bath products. Entire hotel smells great. As of today,, an open fitness center and pool. I hope I get to come back. Cons: Not one. drewintampa1
Worst Guest Experience 😒
Reviewed 14 february, 2021
This hotel has had the worst guest experience I have ever come across. They have yet to refresh our room in the last 2 nights, and keep deactivating our key card during the day. Every day after 12pm our keys have been turned off. The first time we thought maybe they were deactivated, so the second day I kept mine in its own pocket of my purse away from my wallet and phone the whole day. We went to try and get into our room and again they were shut off. They reassigned our keys to our room again and tried to say it was our fault they were deactivated. We were told our room would be refreshed every night and dirty towels would be replaced / trash taken out as long as we did not put the do not disturb sign out. This is the 2nd day in a row our room has not been refreshed. The first day we let it slide as we still had towels, (today) second day we specifically asked the front desk as we were leaving at 10am to make sure our room is refreshed since we used all of our towels swimming and showering. The front desk asked our room number and assured us we would be taken care of this time. WRONG We returned at 6pm and our room smelled bad because our chlorine towels and trash from take out was never removed. We also did not have any towels to take a shower as we wished. After speaking with the "manager" at the desk her excuse was they were booked more than anticipated and they were not able to get to our room. EXCUSES ME! That is not an excuse, the number of rooms in your hotel do not change, and you should take care of the guests who are already staying with you. She only gave us a couple clean towels and that was all. I am extremely dissatisfied with the customer service!
Needs Major Renovating
Reviewed 13 august, 2020
The room did not feel clean, probably because of stains on furniture, sofa bed and cushions, carpeting. Very old and outdated furniture and worn out carpeting that needs to be changed or, at the least, deep cleaned. I felt like putting one piece of furniture in the hallway just to get it out of the room. Never had this experience with a Holiday Inn Express before. Plus, no special cleaning for COVID-19, or at least no information provided that anything was done differently (other than no hot breakfast or daily room service). Special cleaning of TV remotes, phones, handles, light switches? I have no idea. We used wipes on everything when we got there. It really did not feel clean. Our TV only worked minimally, and two technicians came in during our stay but could not fix it. It was suggested that we change rooms. Why not change TVs? This hotel is very close to the hospital and we were in Murray for surgery. I think because it's the only really close hotel is how they get away with zero maintenance or upgrades. This Holiday Inn Express is a poor representative of that hotel chain. I'll be more careful next time.

Great find. Room was nice sized and very clean. Ours had 2 queen sized beds. Mini fridge/ sink are are small, but adequate. Bathroom is a nice size. Grab bag breakfast was - meh. But what do you expect these days. Great location in terms of freeway access - easy to get in and out of. We wanted an in expensive room for a quick trip, and this fit the bill just fine.
