My family and I had three, two-bedroom villas close to each other. We stayed for five nights. Upon arrival my daughter's room (832) had no towels in the guest bathroom and only one pillow on one of the beds. It was quickly noticed that there were dirty dishes and cups in the cupboard that were gross with old hard food stuck to them. She put the dishes/cups in the dishwasher only to discover it did not work. The dresser in the living area was broken with drawers sticking out and unable to close properly. I will also mention she was traveling with her husband, four-year old and four-month old children. Who wants to have to deal with all these issues when you are on vacation to RELAX? The office sent someone up to fix the dishwasher and help with the dirty dishes, ( they did not do a great job)..She never did receive bath towels, they only brought her hand towels and the ones for the floor. My husband and I were in room 834, the master bath shower head was broken, it only sprays a fine spray with no real pressure to rinse off quickly. One evening I made baked chicken but the oven did not heat properly and what should have been done in 35 minutes took over an hour, the reason being that the oven door insulation is all shredded and burnt in places. I do not believe this is safe. Our dresser in the living area was broken as well as one of our kitchen chairs. When you sat in the chair it fell apart with the wood spindles coming out, one of the other chairs had a sharp jagged broken piece sticking out. My husband wrapped a paper towel around it. Out on our patio were 2 wasps nests, one very large the other medium. We saw several wasps inside the patio, we had to call and ask for someone to come spray. It was noticed that none of the rooms were stocked with the same amount, or enough of (if there were any) supplies: such as pots, pans, silverware cooking utensils. My son's room, (831) seemed passable. Although, they borrowed a hand mixer from the office to make a cake only to discover, it was broken. My son had to go down to the office and get another one. He was traveling with his wife and very young son. While most everyone seemed nice and helpful, if you are concerned for Covid safety I noticed several of the employees at the reception area were not wearing their masks properly or at all. All of these issues made what should have been a restful relaxing vacation stressful and detracted from our family fun. This property is run down and not up to what should be Bluegreen standards.
Not a Gold Crown Resort

Our week was an RCI exchange. Resort located in a tired location. Twenty years ago it was a great location due to shopping and attractions. Most everything that surrounds this resort is either closed or are commercial/industrial businesses. Some of the resort buildings are located on the inter coastal waterway. Check in/out is smooth. Staff is mostly friendly. Our two bedroom unit was large. Master bath shower was dirty when we arrived and I cleaned it myself. Unit needs to be updated. Kitchen supplies were disappointing. We had to request a pan to make eggs in because there was only one small and large saucepan. No blue-ray players available in units so we could not rent movies. Building was noisy. We could hear every time someone closed their unit door because they slam shut. We could also hear the people above us walk around. This is a very average resort and does not deserve a Gold Crown Rating.
Very nice resort. Definitely would recommend

Can’t say enough good things about the Staff at this resort. Room were clean and well kept. Could use an upgrade on the Kitchen cabinets but otherwise everything was great and clean. The property was well take care of. Close to the airport and other activities.
Great for quick getaways

We've stayed at Harbour Lights many times over the past 20 years. There are plenty of activities for all family members. Our granddaughter especially enjoyed the heated pools and heated lazy river. They put us in an older unit this time which was not as clean, inside or out, as the other units have been in the past otherwise we would have rated it 5 stars like we have in the past. We enjoy the location. Not to crowded and still close to everything in Myrtle Beach.
Lovely resort and staff
