My Last 10 days in Fiji!

Reviewed 22 june, 2022

I spent my last 10 days at the Club Fiji Resort in Nadi. It was a beautiful property that was beautifully landscaped and very quiet and secluded! I had an ocean Bure that was very clean and comfortable. The staff there were wonderful! Duri set me up with a day cruise on the Yasawa Flyer that was wonderful! Mary, Emma, and Vi are wonderful employees who took great care of me! I hope I can go there again next year!

OK for staying near the town for a night or two

Decent stay close to town and airport, convenient for day tours and trips. Although, despite being right on the beach, I wouldn't stay there for a long time as there are much more beautiful beaches around Fiji. But for the price it was fine and even a bit better than we had expected. A bure has many netted windows so the wind comes and you don't really need an aircon much (it's inefficient anyways). The breakfast was basic but ok. Be aware that the resorts on the other side of the beach can play loud music but that has affected us only one of two nights we've stayed there. Overall, a good affordable place to stay before the flight.

Excellent value for money in a great location

We decided to book a couple of nights away from the Coral Coast so that we could do some day trips to the islands. We booked very last minute and wanted a decent budget option near to the port area. The bungalows are very rustic, set amongst beautiful coconut groves, just behind Wailoaloa beach. The rooms are basic, but very comfortable and come with a kettle, tea, coffee, a fridge, mosquito net and a hot water shower. There is a free breakfast consisting of cereals, toast and ham and cheese. The bar is great and offers happy hour prices in the early evening. The pools are extremely clean and there's plenty of sun loungers. The resort has a lot of space so you'll always be happy - whether you want space or to mingle with other guests. The resort is in a great location and has some decent restaurant options nearby. I would definitely recommend staying here if you want to be close to the airport and do day trips to the islands.

Your perfect stop in Nadi

We stayed here a couple of time during our latest trip to Fiji and was really impressed. John (the owner) has been doing a great job of getting the resort expanded following Covid. He is almost ready to double the capacity with brand new rooms as well as opening up a totally refurbished bar and pizza restaurant. Because of the size of the resort even when he was fully booked while we stayed it never felt too busy and there was always somewhere to go - the beach, a hammock, the pool, the bar - if you wanted some alone time or to chat with the staff and other guests. Speaking of the staff - they were amazing and what made the stay so enjoyable - from reception, security, bar staff, kitchen staff, trip planners they were always there with a smile and a friendly word. Always ready to accommodate any of our requests. There are two great pools on the resort that offer you places to swim day and night. During the day have some good tree coverage for shade if you want to avoid the sun or are nice and open if you want the full heat. The menu has a range of good options with local dishes included - we can fully recommend their pizzas! We were there on the night they did Mongolian BBQ and it was delicious. A wide range of cocktails and several happy hours if you want to spend some time at the bar. During our stay they started with a new range of massage available right on the near the beach including a 4 hands massage - very relaxing if you have never experienced. The resort is well situated about 25 mins to Denarau if you are headed there for shopping or a boat trip. Only about 15 mins from Nadi airport. We will definitely be back again and look forward to enjoying more of the Club Fiji hospitality and smiles.

Great experience as solo traveller

This was my favourite place I stayed in Fiji. It's not the fancy Denerau resort but it's much better, far more lowkey and you actually get to experience the beauty of Fiji in a nice resort without it feeling overly westernised. I stayed at Club Fiji for 5 nights and the staff made me feel right at home. There were not too many other guests around so getting to know the staff was a real highlight. The pools were great, the view of the water is lovely and being able to kayak on the flat water was beautiful! The beach is not white and sandy as some of the images show and there are some post-covid work to do but for the price, location and how good the amenities were, it was a real treat. The bungalow was comfortable, very spacious and clean. The staff are so welcoming and friendly, the best service I received in Fiji was from Club Fiji staff.
