Just great!

Reviewed 1 december, 2022

All round excellent! The room was great - we really liked the art - and it was really special to hear the tawny owls hooting at dawn _ twit- wohoo - and another female wohooing in the distance. Somehow the staff knew it was my wife's birthday and supplied a half bottle of champagne for the occasion. Sitting in the lounge in front of a log fire with a cup of tea was lovely as was the friendly interaction with the other guests. We'll be back! Dinner in the Fernery restaurant was superb as was breakfast in the Artisan room.

Superbe

The whole experience was wonderful. Until we pulled up to the property we were not very impressed . But from the moment we checked in till we left everything was perfection. The food is excellent, the service outstanding and the decor beautiful. We took little road-trips ( solva was very nice) but hurried back to enjoy the hotel. Breakfast lunch and diner for 3 days and all meals exceptional and again hotels should send their staff there for training

A beautiful hotel and amazing restaurants

WOW! Wanted to come to this hotel for years and so glad we eventually came for my husband’s birthday as a treat. We ate in the Artisan on Friday night and Fernery on the Saturday. Both meals were amazing although have to say The Fernery takes it for it’s tasting menu, it was superb. We had a beautiful room, 4 poster bed, lovely size and gorgeous Victorian bath. We loved everything about our stay here, highly recommended.

Superb hotel and sanctuary

This was our second stay at the Grove. It was every bit as good as last time. Friendly and helpful staff, excellent food and very comfortable room. The setting is peaceful - set a long way away from any major road and surrounded by trees and green space. The only nighttime sounds were the occasional hooting owl. The availability of on-site E-car charging in the car park was a real bonus for us as so many hotels still do not provide this. The breakfasts are superb. We also ate in the Fernery on one night - excellent, locally sourced food including venison and sea bass cooked to perfection. We went for the 5-course tasting menu, not sure we could have managed the 7-course option.

Hotel Perfection

Reviewed 21 november, 2022

For us it had everything you would want in a hotel and maybe a little bit more. The location and setting are beautiful and the hotel itself consists of buildings ( main building and cottages ) that have all been sympathetically restored to perfection. The food is superb as is the service. It's beautifully decorated with uncompromisingly high quality furnishings throughout. Sumptuous bedding, lovely bathroom products, plus you receive the added bonus of a complimentary mini bar/fridge ( always welcome 🙂! ) We stayed in a cottage apartment which consisted of 3 rooms ( lounge/kitchen, bathroom, bedroom ) and we could have quite happily spent several months there as it just a delight to spend time in the space. When compared to other similar quality hotels ( and there really aren't that many this good ) it is genuinely fantastic value for money. We're looking forwarding to returning to Pembrokeshire soon and without doubt we will be staying at the Grove. Well done everyone at The Grove.
