Decent hotel. Don’t let construction scare you away.

The staff was excellent! Front desk and housekeeping! Our room was very comfortable and clean, and I slept very well. I was nervous when pulling into the lot because there was major construction. But all was fine. I can’t mark them down much for construction because it didn’t affect us. You have to be happy they are upgrading. It wasn’t bad, but needed updating. They relegated everything to the first floor because they were renovating the second and third floors. We were in a first floor room which wasn’t renovated yet, but I thought if we hadn’t seen construction we wouldn’t have thought anything negative. They had already renovated the front desk and would be doing the first floor rooms next. The only thing I didn’t like was the shower set up. The door opened on the opposite side of the shower head which was pointed towards me - so when turning on the shower the cold water sprayed out on me. There was no way to get out of the way.

We reserved 2 rooms, one 2 double queen for our daughter and her family and a king room for us. The hotel is very worn. Our daughter’s first room was terrible, stained and worn carpet, stained sofa and a desk chair that was shot. They moved to a second room that was better, but the smoke alarm had been removed, bathroom floor grout was broken, no way to clean that, and the vent full of dust. The king room was better. The staff was great, but really the management needs to update the rooms.

This hotel had a few bad reviews so I was a little nervous- But I was pleasantly surprised- the front desk staff were very nice and helpful- the room was not like a new hotel but it was clean- it was nice - the shower was amazing & had lots of hot water & the bed was comfy Breakfast is really just prepackaged grab & go heated up in the microwave but it worked until we were ready to start our day Was in a nice area of town & only 5-10 min from touristy downtown would def stay again

Wife and I stayed here for a quick getaway to Nashville. Had a great time.. Highly recommended to anyone that enjoys live music. The hotel looked great online, and being a premier member I used points to book. The location is ok, about a 10 minute drive from the Broadway strip. The young lady working the front desk during the afternoon shift was super nice, tried to be helpful and thanked me for loyalty. Initial reaction: - Room very poorly kept. Couch was old and had clear signs of wear beyond it age, in spots the fabric was actually gone. The carpet was wore out and badly stained. There was a dresser drawer that was totally out of place and not even on the tracks. There was a lamp on the desk where the shade was cracked all around. Overall just seems like a tired old hotel that if it were a “budget” hotel may not have been too bad. However this hotel is in the Marriott family and they were charging a premium rate or either points or cash during our stay. Now for the rest... First morning: - We find out that the bathtub doesn’t drain. During a normal "man" shower of about 8-10 minutes the water way is above your ankles. During my wife’s shower the tub was nearly full! - The coffee maker is missing parts. Now not only have I had to deal with a tub that won’t drain, but now find out I can't even have a coffee before leaving my room. Head to the front desk to tell them about the tub and the coffee machine and find out there is NO BREAKFAST. The young lady at the desk apologizes and says they're suffering staff shortages and that the breakfast is probably just being restocked. It was. The offerings were frozen sausage biscuits, packs of oatmeal, some type of muffins, and a coupe pieces of fruit. I understand current staffing challenges, but they really should work with neighboring businesses for a breakfast voucher if they cannot commit to what is listed in the reservation. The plumbing...The young lady at the desk was polite enough to say she understood the frustration of the tub, BUT that they have NO MECHANIC currently. No looking or trying to move us to a different room or mention any form of comp. She said they would try and get a local plumber but didn’t seem too enthusiastic. Later, when I asked if someone from the hotel would be accompanying the strange plumber hopefully coming to fix our room she told us there would be no plumber. I guess we just have to wash our feet in the sink??? Head to the pool! Yeah, looks beautiful on the web! - NOPE... There is algae in the pool. It hadn’t been cleaned in weeks.. If I can post pics to this review I will, if not look for other sites that allow it. Second night, morning of departure. Go down stairs to find absolutely nothing in the breakfast area. They didn’t even bother to turn on the lights today. This is a Monday. If I was travelling for work I would have requested to be moved to a different hotel. The clerk today just didn’t care. Period. After learning of today’s exciting breakfast options we packed and left. On the way out I grabbed a coffee that was actually cold. This was before 11 and the coffee in the lobby was cold and stale. When I informed the clerk we were leaving I got a "Thanks...Bye" not a care in the world of how our stay was. I guess I know why. Aside from seeking refund I will be following up with Marriott as this stay was totally unacceptable and they should be embarrassed to have this hotel associated with their name.

All around not worth the money they are charging. Even though it is cheaper than surrounding hotels. Thin walls, ineffective staff, not clean, pool, hot tub, and fitness center underwhelmed (or closed)and rooms are smallish suites, not large. Skip this one.
