We stayed at this hotel twice in the space of a week, once on the trip North and again on the trip South. We had previously stayed at this location because is it significantly cheaper than Tupelo, and were pleased. On the first visit, all went well. We were able to choose a room in advance, the digital key worked, and the staff was friendly. Our only concern was that half the lights in the parking area were out, and the digital key did not work on the outer door. Hampton asked us for a review and we submitted a good one. The second visit was a disaster. The toilet stopped up, and I went to the front desk to ask for a plunger, offering to clear it myself. The attendant could not find a plunger immediately, but promised to look further and call me when she found one. One hour later (9 PM), still no call. So I went back to the desk, and was told the plunger could not be located, but I could have some beach to pour down the toilet. Unacceptable! Could we move to another room? No, “the hotel is booked”. Really? “Oh wait, we can put you in a room on the second floor”. But we couldn’t have the key to the second room until we had repacked, moved our suitcases out of the first room to the lobby and turned in that key. Only then were we allowed into the second room. We were treated like a couple of criminal suspects, not inconvenienced guests. The desk agent clearly considered the clogged toilet our problem, not hers. As we were eating breakfast the next morning, water started gushing from the ceiling light in the dining area, nearly drenching my wife. But the icing on the cake was checkout. We were using Hampton points, so the desk agent asked if we wanted a bill for the zero balance. When we asked for one, just for peace of mind, lo and behold there was a $20 charge for “incidentals”. We had not visited the snack shop nor incurred any charges other than the room, so perhaps this was for inconvenience to the previous night’s desk clerk? That charge was subsequently removed, but was “Strike Three” for the second visit. We noted that Hampton requested an evaluation for the first visit, but not for the second one. We will probably choose a different establishment for future visits.

Very nice hotel and super nice area. I enjoyed my stay. The bed was extremely comfortable, I usually hate hotel beds but this one was pretty comfy. I would highly recommend this property. The price was decent as well.
Extremely nice rooms

The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The rooms were clean and were upscale. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. Checking in was quick and easy. I did not get a chance to enjoy the breakfast, but it looked and smelled delicious.
Loud road noise in room from interstate.

The room was clean but don’t get a room that faces the interstate. The road sounds come straight into your room! The darkening shade works great though!! The beds are hard (but I think most Hampton’s are). The light switches were confusing and the fridge needed looked at because it kept making loud gurgling sounds each time it turned on. But overall this was a stay for sleep and shower.
A tale of two hotels

I have stayed in this hotel before and really enjoyed it but this time was different. Last time, I stayed on the north side (away from the interstate) and the noise level was minimum. This time, I stayed on the south side, next to the entrance ramp to the interstate. Even with the air conditioner at the highest level, I could still hear the road noise all night long. I have stayed in other Hampton Inns next to an interstate and the insulation was sufficient enough to dampen any road noise. In all my previous stays at a Hampton Inn, there was a blue sticker on the door to assure me that the room was thoroughly cleaned and sanitized but not this time. The carpet in the room was stained. This hotel is two hotels in one; the north side is a traditional Hampton Inn and the south side is a cheap knock-off. Having said that, I would stay in this hotel again but only if I am guaranteed a room on the north side.
