Calling this place a dump would be a compliment

Our first clue should have been when another traveler pulled up next to us in the nearly-empty parking lot on her way out, rolled down her window and said "you do realize this place is a dump, don't you?" She also shared that she rejected her room and was going to another hotel. She wasn't kidding - this place is an absolute dump. Dirty, with torn and broken furniture, mold, stains that look like blood on curtains, missing towel bars, torn wallpaper, holes in walls, outdoor areas that look like they were created to house disaster victims and didn't seem safe, lack of air conditioning in some indoor areas, non-existent security, lack of basics in rooms (soap), etc. I tried phoning the front desk for soap, the phone had no cord for connection. Our room had a door that ostensibly led to one of those concrete outdoor areas, it was barricaded with a chair and sadly, that gave us comfort. My daughter went to sit at the desk and pulled out the chair, only to find the chair was the only thing holding the desk up - two of its legs weren't attached and just propped up against the sides. Free breakfast was coffee/juice, a waffle iron and a basket of apples. If I ever went to a convention here I'd never again do business with the host. Only positive thing I can say is the refrigerator worked (although opening it meant it would roll out of the cabinet it was housed in) and the bed was comfortable but I did question whether I might be bringing bedbugs home with me. Not that the bar was set terribly high, but this property is an embarrassment to the Choice Hotels brand.

Place is in need of an update. Not many choices after a concert at Hershey park, so we stayed here. Mold in the bathroom, musty smell in the room. Never made it to breakfast, it closes early even on weekends. Would not recommend.

The rear doors were never secured. Locks were broken, card reader broken. Door handles were covered with grime. Staircases were dirty in need of painting and new wallpaper. The courtyard and pool area was unkept and in need of renovations. Furniture in the lobby was old and in poor condition as well as the registration desk. The hotel was tired in need of major upgrades. The rooms were ok but not great. Bathrooms need updating.
Filthy Dilapidated Dump! RUN FAST & FAR!

Unless you find yourself in the middle of a zombie apocalypse or your car broke down in the middle of an Arctic blizzard, there is no reason to stay at this filthy, dilapidated dump. You may be better off sleeping in your car.
Arrived and thought I was in the wrong place because it had no signage, no exterior lighting, the interior was mostly dark with small portions dimly lit. I thought it was an abandoned warehouse. The lobby, hallway and room rugs were filthy; full of debris. The lobby furniture was old and dilapidated. Our room reeked of stale cigarette smoke & musty. The ceiling tiles had old water stains. The drapes were old, tattered, dirty and stained. The bed linens were dirty and had hair that didn’t belong to any of us. The linens were messy like someone had rolled in the bed. The bench in the room had staining that looked like someone had sharted on it. The tub and sink had water spots like someone had just used them. Mind you we checked in after 8pm. The room was dark & dreary; the lighting was very poor/dim & made it difficult to see. We had a light the was dying out and kept flickering. The AC sounded like a 747 jet taking off and didn’t cool well. We tried to use the room phone to request a room change but phone was broken. Used our cell phone to call front desk, repeatedly, but no one answered. Had to go down to front desk to request room change. The only improvement in the new room was the bed linens didn’t appear dirty. The lock in the new room was broken so I had to use the luggage cart to barricade our door. We asked front desk for change for laundry room and they didn’t have so they told us to come back in the morning. Went back to front desk in the morning to get change. They did not have change. I was told they didn’t have access to the safe but someone would be arriving who did. I asked when I could come back and she said she couldn’t say because the person was supposed to be in from 7:30am and no one was there but her. According to her, none of the other staff had arrived yet for the 7:30am shift. Mind you this conversation took place at 9am. I had to flag down other guests as they were walking in the halls/exiting to find change. There was no visible sign of staff or any manager from Friday into Saturday other than the one person at the front desk. I have seen homeless shelters that were cleaner, better maintained, more accommodating and provided better safety than this dump. Take it from me… “RUN! RUN FAST & FAR!”
Very dirty, poor AC throughout the facility

Had to try 4 different rooms upon checking in to find one with working AC and no strong mildew stench. Had to settle for an ADA room with 1 bed instead of 2 with mild mildew smell. The room itself was pretty dirty, including stray hairs on the bed and in the sheets and pillows. I even caught and released a 3-inch centipede that was crawling across the desk (indicator of a dirty, wet place that likely has other small bugs lurking). The hallways were even more dirty, and all common areas were incredibly warm. Didn't bother touching the breakfast. The staff was very nice and did their best to accommodate, but this hotel desperately needs an overhaul.
