Awesome place
I never write reviews but I feel I have to and want to for this place. I cannot say enough nice things about Indian head resort! I’ve stayed here several times and always had a fantastic experience however my most recent visit was the best. I unfortunately left my brand new AirPods in the room. Once I arrived home several hours away I realized what I did. I called the next day and asked them if they had found them. I left my info and hoped for the best but wasn’t holding my breath thinking they were gone forever. Whoever found them could have easily kept them. However they called back within a few days saying they had them and they mailed them to me the next day. Even though I love it there if they hadn’t returned them to me I would’ve had a hard time going back without being resentful so I was very happy they returned them. I am once again very impressed and definitely will be back! Thank you so much to the staff for your honesty and professionalism!
Lunch at Indian Head
We had a late lunch here after zipline adventure and a hike. Pretty good food, weird experience as no waitress comes to your table and you get your own drinks. I was wondering why the auto gratuity ad there was zero service and you get the food in to go containers. Bathrooms were very dirty too. It’s a pretty spectacular setting though.
Very, very dirty
The most completely disgusting, dilapidated, gross and uncomfortable nights stay we ever had. The beds have to have been there since they opened a million years ago and are so lopsided and uncomfortable you can't sleep on them. They say Covid precautions being taken? Don't count on it when the most basic housekeeping isn't being performed. The sheets were legit filled with dirt and filth. The floors were so dirty within minutes of taking off our shoes off our feet were black with tons of particles sticking to them. The whole cottage smelled of propane and batteries in CO detector/smoke alarm were dead so that's safe. Toilet was broken. The furniture was so run down and dilapidated dirty you could surely find something better on the side of the road. It should be criminal that people can charge you to stay in a place so disgusting.
Indian Head
This is my third time here in the last five years...each year the "resort" is more dilapidated. They need to invest in some updates, from the hotel rooms, to Yia Yia's house, to the MT view house, to the pools, to the gift shop, to the arcade, to the paddle boats (literally was stuck in the middle of the pond on a broken one....NO ONE there to help...) EVERYTHING needs an update....this has NOTHING to do with COVID...each year we are told there will be updates and there NEVER are.. this year the ACs did not work properly, ,the remotes for the TVs didn't work, the dishwasher didn't work, the house smelled, the closets smelled worse....the rugs are filthy and when you check in you receive a list of rules.....such as, you will be charged $25 bucks if a 50 cent towel is missing, $75 and hour if you haven't properly cleaned up but no real explanation on WHAT that means....I am not a fan of vague threats...we will be looking at other properties next year, which is sad, because the concept it great, the execution is failing.
Indian Head Resort only place I stay when I visit NH
Been coming to IHR for years and have never had a bad experience. Friendly staff, clean rooms, and love fishing in Shadow Lake!! By far my favorite place to stay in the White Mountains!! Can't wait to visit again!!
