Spotless, staff extremely friendly, helpful; free evening meal with free alcohol drinks! It was hot and delicious! And in the morning a free full breakfast that had all the breakfast wants you normally choose... and again hot and delicious! This was our first time staying and we will be back. Location perfect to either walk or get to allthe wonderful tourist areas. Parking garage was on site and secure! 5 stars plus!!

Great weekend trip! We went in a couples trip with our cousins for mine and her birthday. The hotel was exceptional and very accommodating! We will definitely stay there again for our next trip to New Orleans
Exceptional Hospitality and experience

My husband and I were traveling on military orders with two cats and a uhaul. We were making the trek from NC to CA and decided to visit New Orleans for my birthday during the trip. I called MANY hotels in the area to compare rates, ask about pet policies, and find a room with same day booking. Many of the hotels I called, were not pleasant to speak with. As soon as a reached the front desk with Drury Plaza, I was greeted with a very sweet attendant who was happy to answer all of my questions. She offered us great rates and upgraded our room when she found out it was my birthday. Star and the other staff members were very helpful when it came to parking our uhaul and answering questions about the area. Drury Plaza in New Orleans, made my birthday a day to remember after driving for 11 hours. We will definitely go out of our way to stay with Drury Plaza again.

From the moment of arrival we had issues. The room was prepaid, except for parking. Swiped my credit card for “incidentals” and the desk agent said didn’t go through, even though the card reader said “approved” on my end. She assured me my card was declined. “Oh well I didn’t do a travel alert so maybe that was it,” and so I tried my other card and same thing - approved on my end but declined on hers she said. I was insistent the issue must have been with her system, and sure enough, after she looked at her screen for five minutes she said, “oh yeah looks like it did go through twice so I’ll reverse one of those so you won’t be charged two times.”Frustrated a little bit by the ordeal, at least we got checked in and headed up with our luggage. No one to assist, by the way, even though we wouldn’t have used anyone anyways. Our room was on the 7th floor Poydras side and tall ceilings in main room which were nice. Room overall was decent. Noise from below was not that bad. Sink was located outside bathroom which was fine, but bathroom was tiny (7ft ceiling) with awkward diagonal commode and tub/shower combo. Room appeared to be clean. No smell. Went to wash hands and discovered no hot water in sink - left on for a few minutes to see -and still none five minutes later. Called front desk and they sent someone up. Eventually got lukewarm. Shower’s hot water worked so we decided could live with that. Next issue was with housekeeping or lack there of. Saw them down the halls but when nearing end of day came and ours wasn’t serviced I called down to lobby and they said that was an opt-in process. We had never been told that - even during our lengthy check-in ordeal there was no mention. This was at 4pm and the front desk said sorry we can’t get you today but will make a note for tomorrow. A little more frustrated, that reminded me to check my credit card balances from the day before, and yup, charges pending for both. So I called down and asked for management this time. The guy was really nice. Apologized for all the inconvenience with that and the housekeeping and said he would take care of and as a courtesy comp our parking charge. My faith in their customer service was restored. The next day our room, when we returned, was still not serviced, and so we decided to give up on that and just asked the housekeeper in the hall to exchange our towels because. We needed to shower and change for the evening. Probably would not have provided this review, except now a week after returning I checked my credit card statement. Good news there was no parking charge. Bad news is they charged me for the “entire stay” twice!! Called them to ask for refund and am still awaiting that. The hotel room itself was fine. The kickback was fine. The self-parking was fine. The not so fine: Bad housekeeping experience. Bad front desk experience. Surprise charges. Certainly not worthy of high ratings that led me to select this hotel over others in the first place.
A great stay for the price

Including a hot breakfast buffet AND a hot evening meal which includes adult beverages really makes this a great place to stay if you have a family to feed. The menu is pretty much the same every day, but there is some variety within that menu. A bummer that there are no desserts. The pool and hot tub were pleasant. The beds were comfy and the rooms quiet. In reasonable walking distance to the French Quarter and several other areas. Parking was expensive, but it was cheaper than a lot of the other places I saw.
