I had a great stay the staff was very helpful and friendly specially the guest agent with glasses ( African American ) And thanks to breakfast team who was making sure the food area was always clean all the time

The room was smaller than it appeared on the web site. Even with a kitchen of sorts, it was not conducive to cooking and eating in. The room also needed maintenance, such as one of the shower doors. The location was good; near buses and subways.

Water was cut off mid shower due to pipe issue. Issue with room being serviced as requested. Breakfast was decent. Staff was nice, overall. I’ll definitely shop around with hotels in the same area before booking this one. It was centrally located.
Bad management Bad problem resolution followed by horrible customer service.

I booked through Hilton specifically to avoid third party reservation nightmares, only to arrive and find out they had the wrong room booked for me, one that will not accommodate my family. Then I was sent to the garage at midnight to park my car and the garage was CLOSED because it’s FULL!!! I had to drive around randomly in NYC looking for a garage. Finally i was told if I needed room service they needed 24 hr notice, I gave them three of those just in case and came back and still nothing was done. The cherry on top when the manager came and was upset at me why i was upset and started bragging about if he punched me I won’t get up!!! At that moment I decided to go to my room and cancel my membership with Hilton Honors. I don’t need this abuse, especially when we have a lot of other options.

I’ve been coming to this hotel for years but it has really gone downhill. Lots of homeless out front and staff that does not seem to care. We had to file multiple complaints with the front desk because of all the noise the cleaning crew was making at all hours of the day AND night. Constant banging because they would clean with the door security lock in place and every time they went into the room which was 20 to 30 times per room you would hear loud banging noises as the door would slam shut. There was also constant yelling in the hallways, and if you wanted to walk to your room you would have to walk over piles of used towels and bed linens which were stacked in the hallways. Not exactly sanitary in the Covid era. When we complained to the front desk, they tried to put the blame on other guests for the loud noise but we could clearly see who was making the noise. Finally after two days of this, I asked to speak to the manager however the front desk claims no manager was working. It got so bad that we finally decided we had to leave the hotel which was a first ever for our family. When we tried to check out, the front desk got aggressive and told us we would be charged for an early departure fee even though we didn’t stay the night. Again we asked to speak to the manager and they said he left for the day and was not taking any phone calls even though the front desk agent kept going to the back office to talk to him by phone. The front desk agent informed me after speaking with the unavailable manager that any issues with billing needed to be addressed with the manager, again who left for the day and would not take our call. Whoever heard of a major hotel chain not having a manager on site?!? If that’s the case, they clearly do not caring how the hotel is being run or if a customer was checking out because of numerous issues. We ended up being charge $420+ for a ‘leaving early cancellation fee’. Absolutely ridiculous. Avoid at all cost if you value sleep and safety. THIS PLACE IS REALLY BAD!
